The accommodations were very nice; the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was very good and the bathroom very nice. We had goodies baked for us each day - the pancakes were wonderful. We were the only two most of the time as some people canceled due to the weather. Gudrun was especially helpful with the weather each day. The recommendations that came our way were right-on, especially the places to see and to eat. Even though it was rainy and windy most of the time, we were able to see sights that we wanted to see (The Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon) plus those we would have never found about such as the Volcano House and the Laxness residence. Very close to Reykjavik. The countryside venue was very nice and quiet - away from the downtown noise. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Only three room but you can't go wrong. We had the South-facing room. Very nice and the view was extraordinary

My husband and I wrapped up our Iceland Honeymoon at the Minna-Mosfell Guesthouse. My only regret was not starting our journey here. Guðrún and her husband have a lovely home and are so helpful in providing tips and stories about Iceland. Our room was amazing and breakfast/coffee was super yummy. It's so fun to meet the other guests and share adventures. I definitely recommend staying here. PS, the horses are super cute too.

I stayed a few days at the Minna-Mosfell Guesthouse and I really felt like being at home. a very cosy accommodation run by very kind and helpful hosts! Every day I got weather updates to catch some northern lights but no luck this time. So I have to come back to Iceland and definitely to Minna-Mosfell Guesthouse.

I stayed at Minna-Mosfell for just one night and wished it could have been more. The shared kitchen is incredible, as to both the food on hand (home-baked cake and bread!) and the cooking/eating facilities. I couldn't check "breakfast buffet" below, since it didn't quite apply, but trust me, the kitchen is bounteous and you will be able to make yourself a very, very fine breakfast. The shared communal area has comfortable seating and a killer view of the valley. Everything was immaculate. The hosts are lovely, and they will happily share their encyclopedic knowledge of the valley and its history. As a saga-lover, I was there specifically to soak up the setting, but anyone who enjoys comfort, friendly hosts, and a great starting point for touring Thingvellir and surroundings should make a beeline for Minna-Mosfell. Bonus points for easy access to the airport, and Reykjavik is quite close, too. If I could give more than five stars, I would!

We had a lovely stay in Minna-Mosfell Guesthouse! Love the view from our room, a pity there were no northern lights that night.

Both of the hosts are lovely- Guðrún was really helpful in recommending places to visit when we plan to drive down to Vik. She even drew out the route to take on the map for us!

Our only regret is that we didn't stay for a few more days! Thank you for making our honeymoon memorable. we will definitely be back :)
