The panorama glass lodge was nothing short of simply AMAZING! The cabin was spotless and updated, with gorgeous views of the lakeside and mountains in the distance. A perfect cozy spot for a night in Iceland. It was so calm and peaceful as well! The homey touches of coffee and tea in the morning hit the spot. Also, my future husband asked me to be his wife here! So talk about romantic! I will forever remember this place, the memories, the views, and soaking in that wonderful hot tub. Would recommend to anyone!
Staying here was amazing and once in a lifetime experience. We were lucky to get a clear night and the northern lights were spectacular. Totally worth the price
Stayed for a 2 night break. Amazing location - views were breathtaking from the lodge and the modern and clean hot tub. Unfortunately did not see the Northern Lights but the starry sky was magical. Unexpectedly felt the urge to close the blinds on the left as you look outward from the bedroom as there was some light pollution from along the coast and a couple of properties down by the shore were in sight - if the trees could grow just a little higher would have been perfectly private. The kitchen/dining area was cosy and functional and the spa bathroom was a real treat. A little more storage (wardrobe) space for our belongings would have been better. Overall the property was amazing and would definitely recommend!
The Panorama Glass Lodge did not disappoint. My wife and I stayed there on our honeymoon, and we were lucky enough to spontaneously book 1 night there at the last minute. Our only regret is we wish we could have stayed longer. You will want to! Being there in person lives up to the amazing videos and photos they have. We came in late August, apparently just the beginning of Northern Lights season, and did not see the northern lights, but being able to see the beautiful sunset and sleep looking up at the stars was amazing. The bathroom and the kitchen are super cute too!
The views are amazing...it is pretty much mountains every way you look, even across the water! We saw a whale out in the water while driving along the road. Spectacular! Being out in the hot tub was great too, perfect for 2 people to enjoy; we popped a bottle of champagne and watched the sun set!
We were wondering about the privacy...it is very private, but there is another house in viewing distance several hundred yards away...we didn't mind it at all...but just FYI the owners have planted a row of trees that when we were there in August 2018 looked like they were growing almost tall enough to give complete privacy :)
The other awesome part was the owner gave us some great recommendations on different hikes to do in the area. And they gave us different recommendations based on what we were looking for. On their suggestion, we did the ~7 mile / 3.5 hr hike to Glymur waterfall and back, and it was the highlight of our entire week trip. The scenery was beautiful, crossing the river and hiking through caves, seeing beautiful views and going right up to the edge of the waterfall...thanks for the recommendation!
It was such a magical time being there, I highly recommend it, especially if it's your honeymoon.
Sometimes ya got to treat yourself to something special, and sometimes you can't believe your eyes. This place was both! From the moment we opened the front door and watched the sunset in a glass house I was blown away. It has everything you could ever want and I loved little touches like pasta for us to cook in the home so we didn't have to leave our little paradise. But beware, this place is so awesome, if you post these pics to instagram your friends will be so jealous ya might be shunned.
Thankful for the opportunity to stay at a very unique glass lodge with a stunning panorama view of Icelands coast. It had rained throughout the whole week we were in Iceland, but during our first night at the lodge we watched the cloudy sky clear as the sun began to set. During our second night, we stayed up even later anxiously waiting for the northern lights. My gf had fallen asleep around midnight when the sun had completely set, but i stayed awake a little longer even though i was exhausted from having just ran a marathon. By 3am, i was half asleep then suddenly i noticed a blue shimmering light! Aurora had came out to wish me happy birthday and it was magical.
So much fun to stay in a tiny house. We left dreaming about building our own somewhere. Beautiful location- unique experience. Highly recommend!
