I had read about this restaurant’s system before visiting and since it originated in Hakata it was on my to-do list.
After a quick visit to the ramen ticket machine and joining a line for around 15 minutes we finally stepped in; it could have been sooner than that, as we were asked by the staff: “how many members?” and were offered the option to get in without seating together, which we kindly refused.
I asked for kae-dama (refill) and matcha pudding. I liked the fact that you can request these whenever is convenient for you (with the well thought sensor in the upper right table’s corner).
Also, the customization (noodle consistency, amount of red sauce, etc.) via English questionnaire is a plus.
I ordered a soft-boiled egg; I was expecting it to be included in the ramen (rather than in a separate plate and having to peel it), which I found unexpected. I simply dipped it in and it was delicious.
The noodle quality (even from their "make at home" souvenir version) and broth were excellent and a feast to the mouth.
