Although it is in the middle of the frantic Dotombori tourist area, Imai Honten is a quiet and pleasant place for lunch away from the crowds. We ate in the informal downstairs area however there seemed to be a more formal restaurant upstairs. The food was good and the staff were very friendly. One waitress kindly brought us a local map after she saw us using a larger one. A nice little restaurant.

Went for lunch a had a bowl of udon but found it bland for my taste. I had to add quite a bit of spice that was on the table to give it a bit more taste for my palate. They do have a menu in English which is good and the restaurant and staff are very nice.

A local friend's recommendation. The Kitsune udon was wonderful and a must-try. The udon broth was sweet and light. A breakaway from the thick heavier ramen.

Very select few dishes that were okay. Would recommend ppl to order the fried / tempura dishes as you can’t go wrong with them.

My seafood udon was quite boring to be honest.
