Hotel MyStays Asakusabashi is conveniently located near the West Exit of the JR Asakusabashi station, and the A1 Exit of the Asakusabashi station of the Asakusa Line. Both of these exits have elevators, which is important to someone with luggage or a stroller. There is also a Lawson connected to the lobby.
The staff provides excellent service, and were very helpful. They even have a map of nearby restaurants in the lobby.
The hotel is generally clean, but I hope they’ll clean the air vents or the exhaust fan soon.
The room is a bit on the small side, but is larger than usual for the area. Our family of 3 were able to fit comfortably even with 2 large luggage bags and a foldable stroller. The bathtub was much appreciated after a long day of walking around. It just takes a bit of fiddling to get the right temperature. The towels were not that fluffy, but were clean and serviceable. They provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the room, but if you want other toiletries, you can get them from the cabinet in the lobby. There is also a hair dryer in the room.
The hotel has a free self-service laundry area; you just need to buy the detergent and softener or bring your own.

The hotel is very conveniently sited next to Asakusabashi JR and the subway station, this provides very good access to greater Tokyo and connection from either Int Airport.
The hotel has a 7/11 at the ground floor and there are multiple eateries nearby. The room was small but have everything for a traveller to get by with, the room was dusty and not service frequently.

Room tip: A room on a high floor away from the elevator will give a quiet room. Mt Fuji is visible from the high floors on a clear day.

The hotel is very close to metro stations. It can be accessed by JR and metro. There are many different variety of small restaurants nearby. The room is clean. The bed is small though so not suitable for persons with huge size. The janitors are very nice and professional. There are sufficient basic facilities inside the rook. Staff are friendly. There is a Lawson right downstairs so even if there are no catering facilities, it is not a big problem. Will definitely stay there again if I go to Tokyo again.

We stayed here for two weeks on our vacation and it wasn't the best experience. If i ever go back to Tokyo I would not consider coming here again.

The good:
- The Staff - Very polite and helpful
- The Room - I think the size of the room was decent for Tokyo, cramped but nice.
- The Location - This is the best part, you are within walking distance to a lot of things and you can just hop on the subway system to go anywhere. Super convenient, Especially Akihabara. That place is a blast and a 15 minute walk!

The Bad:
- The noise - Is the worst part, you will hear the subway announcements, you will also hear sirens as there is a hospital nearby. On top of that, They start their cleaning service at around 6:00am and this involves an alarming amount of noise. The worst part of all this? For some reason you can hear every single thing happening on the other side of your door.

The first 5 Days were extremely rough just because of jet lag and all the loud noises that wake you up at random times. Truly a stressful experience, you just end up waking up early but nothing is open till 10-11:00am so you sit there for a couple hours in misery.

That was pretty much all that was bad, but seriously. It's enough to ruin your trip, It took us so long to get on a good sleep schedule because of all the reasons above and it just sucked. There's nothing you can do about it.

Overall:
I just recently got back from the trip and when I look back on it I'm bitter about a few things. But overall I'm so glad we were within walking distance to Akihabara.

The Hotel is affordable and a decent option, but I almost wish we went with something a little more relaxing and quiet, being right beside the train station and a hospital is a big negative.

----- PSA For those booking through a discount site -----

When we got there we were informed that because we used a discount site like Travelocity or hotels.com what have you. We had essentially gotten less. We got a smaller room, we didn't really get amenities and it just felt like crap kind of. Because at the end of the day this trip was expensive and we suffered for it by getting a bundle.

Room tip: Maybe don't book through a bundle website, when you get there they will basically give you a crap room and less things.

This hotel was in a fantastic location for us as we wanted to be near the crazy entertainment district of Akihabara and also very close to a JR station. The station is across the street from the hotel yet you don't hear any trains or noise from the station which is a bonus. We had 2 large windows in our room with a fantastic view across Tokyo. Comfortable calling Hotel Mystays "home" for 5 days in Tokyo and would definitely stay here again.

The only real issue I had was with the comfort level of the bed and pillows which I felt were both a little too hard for me - I'm a softie! The room is small but that's to be expected in Japan - we stayed in other locations in Osaka and Kyoto and the size of this room was typical.

Room tip: We had a lovely view from the 2nd top floor - try to go high up and you will get amazing views across Akihabara / Tokyo.
