I've stayed at this hotel thrice, and I've enjoyed my stay each time. I think you would too if you just need it for the convenience and a comfortable room. I believe the best thing about this hotel is the convenient location: near the Asakusabashi Station (Asakusa and the Chuo-Sobu lines), and a stop away from Akihabara (you can walk there within 10mins) and Senso-ji and other train interchanges. The area where the hotel is located is very quiet and peaceful, with a variety of options for dining and buying stuff from convenience stores.
The price for a room is decent, and the hotel room is adequately comfortable enough (slightly larger than most mid-priced hotels) for a brief stay, even if the decor is very dated and there's an odd smell in the bathrooms of two out of three of the rooms I've stayed in (well, best two out of three, eh?). And the staff are very responsive to enquiries. Most can even speak English.
For those looking for a fountain pens and stationery (and/or lighters and bargain goods), this hotel is very near Ameyoko-cho, where there are a few fountain pen and other select stationery shops, two of which offer tax-free shopping (ask me if you want directions).More
