The hostel features spacious (by Japanese standards) private and dorm-style rooms, and is located in the Asakusa district of Tokyo, a nice area within close walking distance to Sensoji Shrine. It seems to cater to a slightly older crowd, resulting in a cozy and relaxed ambiance.

There's a Family Mart close by, and many cheap restaurants within close walking distance. While there is a private train line within several meters of the hotel, the main metro lines are a bit further away (approximately a 10-15 minute walk depending on the line).

It was my first time staying at any K's property, and I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the staff was. They provided a wonderful concierge service (make sure to check out the flyers they have near the reception area), and free storage of our bags while we were in Kyoto for a few days. The place was impeccably clean, offered free WiFi and free use of the two lobby computers, complimentary coffee and tea, and two nights a week they offered additional complimentary refreshments including Japanese whiskey.

I would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends traveling to Tokyo.

We stayed in a private 4 person room ensuite. The hostel doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it feels very clean and new. The room was roomier than expected and the beds were comfortable. I liked that they gave each bed it's own reading light so you don't have to keep your roommates awake. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location is great in Asakusa though I liked the location of their other Tokyo hostel a little better (it's not that far away). There's a Family Mart outside, a lot of cheap restaurants/shops, and Sensoji Temple nearby.

I stayed here on 3 separate occassions and enjoyed it every time. We stayed in the twin private ensuite, which is roomy and has a very nice ambience to it. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean. The hostel in general has a cozy feel to it. I tend to like hostels that look and feel new over hostels that have a "cultural charm" to it, but this place had both. The nearest subway is only 1 minute away (although the main one people use is the one about 10-15 minutes away), and close to many restaurants and sensoji temple. Most of the guests who stay here are quiet, making it a peaceful, relaxing stay. There is free internet on the first floor and a kitchen where you can cook.

Great hostel, helpful staff, extremely clean private and public areas (kitchen, lounge, bathrooms)
Great hot water, small but entirely adequate. Not a real youth hostel feel, we traveled with 7 people, (56,54,21,20,18,16,16) No problems at all, many other 'older' travelers. Great location, but if you have a JR pass you will only be able to use it for part of the trip there top connect with the otherJR lines to get around the city or to the airport. You need to take the Tsubaka express from akihabra which is just 2 stops but 200¥ each way per person which really adds up. Otherwise it's around a 45minute walk each way.

Room tip: There is a lift so no problems with stairs, we were on the 2nd floor, far more handy to save time in the lifts, no noise problems.

My husband and I stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon in Japan last July... we were so jet-lagged that any little inconvenience would have been a huge inconvenience, and fortunately there were none. The service we got was just fantastic, the staff really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Our room was very comfortable, elegantly decorated, and quite spacious by Japanese standards, and boy did we love that air conditioning in the middle of very humid summer! The free drinks in the communal area were also a nice touch. It's a really nice part of Tokyo to stay in too - it is an extra private train line to get there but worth the trouble and Asakusa is a place which should be on anyone's Tokyo itinerary in any case. For the very reasonable price, such a nice, clean, centrally located hotel in Tokyo is a real find. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Japan again.
