We really enjoyed our 3-night stay in this lovely part of town which has retained the charms of old Tokyo. The hotel is operated by a friendly (though somewhat reserved) couple who were very helpful and accommodating. It is also close to the Sendagi subway station for trips to downtown. Inexpensive street food is available nearby; the sweet smell of barbequed meat permeates the air in the evenings---a real throw-back to simpler care-free days. A 24-hour 7-Eleven store is almost across the street, and ask the hotel about the 24-hour Japanese fast food restaurant called Matsuya for excellent meal deals. (BTW, thank you to Arakawa-san for oiling our stuck baggage handle.)More
