We stayed here for 3 nights around end October, it was our second hotel in Tokyo (the first one being one close to Narita as we reached at night). With a direct connection from Narita on the keisei line (we paid only JPY 1000 per person, single transfer), very conveniently located and easy to find with some help from the locals. Hotel staff are polite and eager to assist even though it's always busy. Compared to the our other hotels in Tokyo/Kyoto the rooms were the nicest--clean, minimalist approach with all the basic amenities. Even though the room was compact the use of space was very good and typical Japanese standards :) always sterilized clean. We stayed on the 11th floor and had a nice view of the Tokyo skytree. Bathroom was spotless and I loved the japanese style bathtub--not long but deep perfect to sit in and the toiletries were refillable shisheido. Breakfast is simple yet adequate and I stuck to eating the hot dog breakfast everyday... it was pretty good for something included in the room price.Tokyo National museum is a 10 minutes walk and Akihabara is a slightly longer walk. There are many little restaurants and street-side eateries and a Sunkus convenience store. Ueno is also well connected to Asakusa, Imperial Palace, Tsukiji, Ginza by metro. We left the Shibuya-roppongi areas for our second hotel in Shinjuku. The annoying part about most Japanese hotels is that check out is at 10am and check in as late as 3pm, so the only option is to deposit one's baggage and come back later. Overall pleasant stay and given that tokyo can be super expensive this hotel is very very decently priced (JPY 8000/night).
