We decided on this hotel for our 5 night stay based on other TA reviews and all I can say is we were extremely happy we did. We arrived after a very long 13hr flight taking the 1 hr Narita Express train directly to Shinjuku from the airport. To exit the station go towards the south east exit. The hotel really is a 2 mins walk. You will see a famous US coffee chain as a guide, turn left and walk towards the bottom of this tree lined pathway. The hotel in on the right with the hotel lobby located on the 20th floor. Don't worry its well sigh posted!! After a quick check in we were given our 2 rooms on the 31st floor. I had already made a request to be as close to each other as possible and it was honored. Thank you. The rooms were the largest we had whilst in Japan for our 2 week trip and we had everything we needed from tea/coffee facilities, great bathroom amenities, daily newspaper and complimentary water. Beds were very comfortable, thus we had a great nights sleep after sightseeing and day trips. We went to Kamakura and Hakone from the train station which as i've said is a 2 mins walk. This location is perfect, not only for the JR train and metro stations but also because you can easily walk to Melji Shine, Shinjuku Gyoen gardens and the Metropolitan government offices from the hotel. There are lots of amazing places to eat around the hotel with a family mart and 7/11 nearby to buy snacks etc. Directly across from the hotel there are 2 very large department stores for those who want to do a bit of retail shopping.
We found all members of staff to be very helpful and friendly. We bought our metro day passe at reception. Just show your passport. Much easier than doing it at the busy metro/train station...(wait and see it's crazy) We had a couple of pre dinner drinks in bar which were lovely over looking the city lights. All in all we had a great stay. Thank you Century Southern Tower for starting us off on a fantastic trip.
