Great place to stay

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Aug 29, 2019
We came here during cherry blossom season and it was a great, central location. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every day. Hospitality from staff was great as we were greeted cheerily every day at breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable. You even got a free mobile/cell phone that you could use Google Maps or internet to navigate your way through the city. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved Century Southern Tower. A warm welcome at reception on the twentieth floor. Special mention for Ms Mori who helped us with restaurant reservations. All reception staff were excellent. Our room was ready before the advertised 2pm check in time. Our twin scenic on 29th floor was spacious for two guests although draw space could be better. Housekeeping and room amenities were very good. Quiet with great east side views. Breakfast was plentiful with good choice. Fabulous views from the restaurant. Staff and service impeccable. Location for travel and sightseeing was perfect for us. Highly recommended.

This has a perfect location in Toyko - right beside Shinjuku Rail Station - the busiest one in Japan with an estimated 3 million commuters passing through each day! This was our first stop in Japan, we had booked a two week tour around the country and it was a great choice for our introduction to this amazing country. The rooms are very comfortable and the service at reception is friendly and warm. Breakfast is good and best of all there is a luggage forwarding option so we could book our large cases on a trip to Kyoto while we spent a few days with small backpacks travelling to the mountain area of Hakone. Shinjuku station is very central and a great place to start exploring Tokyo.

Very modern hotel just off the South exit of Shinjuku Station. There were a lot of people to point us in the right direction at the station itself.
You need to take the elevator up to the reception desk. At the lobby level, there is a Shake Shack (separate review) and just outside is an amazing Thai/Vietnamese restaurant.
There is also a great bakery outside. You can't beat this location.

This was the 2nd time we stayed in this hotel. Location is perfect (just a very short walk from Shinjuku station. Not a sizeable hotel with all sorts of facilities but I have no complaint. The restaurants are good too.

We decided on this hotel for our 5 night stay based on other TA reviews and all I can say is we were extremely happy we did. We arrived after a very long 13hr flight taking the 1 hr Narita Express train directly to Shinjuku from the airport. To exit the station go towards the south east exit. The hotel really is a 2 mins walk. You will see a famous US coffee chain as a guide, turn left and walk towards the bottom of this tree lined pathway. The hotel in on the right with the hotel lobby located on the 20th floor. Don't worry its well sigh posted!! After a quick check in we were given our 2 rooms on the 31st floor. I had already made a request to be as close to each other as possible and it was honored. Thank you. The rooms were the largest we had whilst in Japan for our 2 week trip and we had everything we needed from tea/coffee facilities, great bathroom amenities, daily newspaper and complimentary water. Beds were very comfortable, thus we had a great nights sleep after sightseeing and day trips. We went to Kamakura and Hakone from the train station which as i've said is a 2 mins walk. This location is perfect, not only for the JR train and metro stations but also because you can easily walk to Melji Shine, Shinjuku Gyoen gardens and the Metropolitan government offices from the hotel. There are lots of amazing places to eat around the hotel with a family mart and 7/11 nearby to buy snacks etc. Directly across from the hotel there are 2 very large department stores for those who want to do a bit of retail shopping.
We found all members of staff to be very helpful and friendly. We bought our metro day passe at reception. Just show your passport. Much easier than doing it at the busy metro/train station...(wait and see it's crazy) We had a couple of pre dinner drinks in bar which were lovely over looking the city lights. All in all we had a great stay. Thank you Century Southern Tower for starting us off on a fantastic trip.

Room tip: We had 2 rooms on both the east and west sides. Personally I preferred the west side view overlooking the Meliji Shrine and gardens.
