Tokyo department stores have incredible food courts with a wide variety of delectable, personal size packages. Isetan has a roof garden on the 8th floor where you can enjoy your selections. There are restaurants in the building, but this was an exceptional find that we thoroughly enjoyed. Our first-time visitor companions enjoyed the break from all the shopping and sharing the varieties of food we tried. And it is open air, so it offers fresh air and a bit of a view.
Me and my hubby purposely make a trip down for buying a luxury bag . And normally credit card has daily limit to meet . So we wanted to pay the item with 2 diff cards but in the same person name . That’s for sure . Bad experience starts now , we can’t do that to proceed the payment . They rejected us without able to explain any reason why . And I was seeking for assistance that at least able to speak English and explain to us why . We just need an explanation. And the answer that we received is NO , we cannot repeatedly. I’m frequent traveller and shopper . This is very disappointing treatment .
Really nice department store offering a variety of goods. Offers tax free, and people spoke English reasonably well. Prices were on par. Some international brands as well as some more regional ones. Large food offerings in basement (although it is primarily to take home as there is not really an area to sit down and enjoy).
If there’s a more impressive department store that this anywhere I’d like to see it, the quality is top drawer and some of the displays are works of art. A must see if you’re shopping in Shinjuku and don’t miss the roof garden.
I saw some nice necklaces but I was not in the market for jewelry. I had a delicious dinner at the eel restaurant on a Tuesday night. It was not busy. Service was attentive and professional. The food was good. There are other restaurants on the same floor offering a varieties of food. I would love to visit next time I am in the area. I went to the basement to pick up sushi to go twice. The sushi was fresh even though I bought them around 6pm and 7pm when they offered the end of day discount.
