Close to train station.

This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku train station. We were able to take a train just two stops to Shubuya Crossing. Also did a full day bus tour of Tokyo and this hotel was one of the hotel pick up stops sonit was very convenient. Shopping and restaurants in the lower level of the hotel.

Basic hotel but the family loves it

Stayed here on a family trip with 2 4-year old children. Booked a triple room that was larger and had 3 single beds. Cleanliness is an issue and when we called the front desk to ask them to come up and vacuum the room again, they did it promptly.
The room is very basic. Bed and bathroom, TV and kettle for instant coffee/tea making. nothing to shout about but who spends so much time in a hotel room while in Tokyo anyway?
It's well located, within 10min walk from Shinjuku station. restaurants galore within the hotel everything from comfort food to semi-formal dining. 2 convenience stores makes everything that one needs for breakfast easily available.
large park 5mins walk from the hotel with huge playground helps kids to expel their extra energy. Basic but necessary and adequate for a family holiday.

Value for money Hotel in Shinjuku

I have read review that people complained about the size of the hotel room but I feel that the room size is comfortable for 2 person (yes, it is much smaller than normal hotel in other Asian city but it is normal in Tokyo area). The room has probably a super single sized bed (it seems slightly smaller than a queen sized bed) but still comfortable for us (we are not big sized to be fair). There are room to place 2 luggage on the floor and there is a desk/table in the corner where the TV is located.

The room is clean and the aircon is central controlled i.e. you cannot change the aircon temperature and you can only change the fan speed. At times it felt a bit cold and we just turned off the aircon for a while.

Location wise is quite good for the price you pay. You can walk to Shinjuku station in about 10 min either using underground walkway (great if it rains or snows) or on the street. The Narita Limousine bus stops beside the main Washington Hotel which is convenient.

There are a number of restaurants (Indian, Japanese, Western) located at the main Washington Hotel (just the next building) as well.

Thank you for be satisfied our hotel room size and location.
First of all, Shinjuku Washington Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Shinjuku and it was originally built to Japanese businessperson. Owing to this kind of fact, unfortunately, it may seem small to our world travelers now. Location is near the Shinjuku station and our main building have a limousine bus stop. Some traveler said who say difficult understanding the way to hotel.
But we are pleased to know that you had a comfortable stay.
But we are so sorry for air conditioning temperature you felt a bit cold. Although it is difficult to respond immediately, We will consider it as a reference for future service.

We are pleased to know that you had a comfortable stay and hope that we could be even a small assistance of making your special trip a memorable one.

Convenient location

First time in Japan, this hotel didn’t disappoint us. Location is perfect near every direction to Japan when comes to transportation. The front desk and staff who answered my phone for confirmation and check-in were bit of concerning... But this small room with 3 twin size beds rewarded us with a great comforter.

For the travelers who need the mart phone access, B-mobile is a great choice which could be delivered to the hotel prior your arrival. Be careful the staff/cashier at the FamilyMart downstairs... the guy I met in the early morning was very unprofessional and rude...
