It is a place to stay at for a great price. Clean room, it smelled like someone had just smoked there though but luckily opening the window helped for that. There was a super friendly guy who welcomed us. Walk up to the Monte Titano took us about an hour and was a good workout. Breakfast is self service, you prepare food from existing products and have to wash the dishes after that. Great big parking lot. Good wide view to the mountains from the rooms.

Friendly staff and a cheap bar/restaurants which serves good food ! very convenient !
Lovely views of the country and the three towers..
Hike up and down the mountain to the City was lovely and make sure to take short cuts through WW II era tunnels and vine yards while enjoying the views and grapes from the vines it self.
Very spacious and well lit dining room with a kitchen and free simple breakfast.
Shower room should be changed as three showers and a single door doesn't make sense.

This is the second time I have stayed here now and with such limited options on where to stay in San Marino knowing that there is a fun, lively bar downstairs which for evening entertainment again is tough to find this makes it a great stay. The downstairs doesn't disturb your sleep but people seem to flock here so ticks a basic, cheap, clean place to stay with a good mix of people (however the hostel itself seems quite most of the time), served by a bus that heads to the 3 towers/centre or plenty of space for parking if driving.

Having stayed here a couple of years before and being eaten alive by bed bugs, I feel it's only fair to re-review now I've stayed here again.

This time was absolutely spotless and there were certainly no bed bugs. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the bathrooms are meticulously clean. There's a huge car park and a brilliant bar downstairs.

I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a good stay here. The highlight would be the manager Mauritzio who was very friendly and accommodating from the get-go. The common area was spacious and had lots of gaming tables and a TV. We were the only travellers staying there but it would be a good environment to meet people. Breakfast was quiet good, better than the average hostel.

A few downsides that I should mention. From what we could see, there was only one toilet and shower for the entire hostel which was fine for us but if there were a lot of people it would be challenging. Also, on the weekends (from what we heard) the pub downstairs plays music very loudly and it comes right through the floor.
You do need to jump on a bus (or an expensive taxi) which only comes every 90 minutes from La Spezia which makes getting up to the centre a little inconvenient. The wifi was also very spotty and unreliable.

Overall all though, if you are on a budget and want to spend a night this is the best option you have as the hotels at the top of the mountain are expensive.

Room tip: Try to stay here on a weekday as the weekend noise from the downstairs bar is loud
