We spent 6 nights in this home last week, and we have found it very quite and lovely, helped us to appreciate the wonderful Tremiti islands, that we suggest to visit undubitably to all, if you don't require "absolutely sand" on the beach (95% are rocks!).
We found only 2 things a little uncomfortable: our room had only 1 door-window, that we could not leave open during the day, so when we came back from sea in the afternoon, the room was very warm; the other thing was that the noise caused from the water of the toilet (of the room near to us) was reeeeally loud, so when someone used it on the night, this wake up us always (it was the rumors of the water charging the tank, probably due to the water pressure in the pipes, maybe low pressure or high, i don't know); this was happened 2-3 nights, maybe in other moments with different water pressure could not happen however (or when we slept deeply, maybe we have not heard nothing...). Regarding the warm, we could also choose to have the air conditioner (10Eur/day more) but the temperature was not so high, so we really didn't need it.
Keeping this aside (after all, these ones are details), the room was nice and not so small, in fact we placed comfortably 2 luggages and the big backpack where place the towels, water, etc for the sea; the room was kept tadily by the sympathetic Valeria, and the bed was very very comfortable, even if we like to sleep with a lower pillow. The ambience of this B&B is very beautiful, Michele (look at his sideacar! cooool!) try to organize the "life" in the best way, so if you want to dine with the group (other guests, friends in the isle, etc) you can stay here, if you want to stay outside, he can suggests some place to dine or beaches to go, so there is no problem at all: a person that really is in this place because he loves this type of life, is not only a work. This house is his family home, a particular home with a strange central fireplace, that inherited some years ago and converted it in a B&B (Skanderbeg was the surname of the mom). The breakfast was standard, with the plus of one croissant prepared at the moment (well warm!), and juices, rusks, butter and jams (3-4 particular jams, not the standard industrial jam ), and no other (sometimes local fruits like apricots). Cappuccino, coffee, tea, etc of course are prepared at the moment. If i can suggest a thing, for us the 8.30a.m. was a little late for the breakfast... but for others probably is too early... it depends of the life you are doing on this island: for us, no disco, no parties, only sea and relax... so we woke up early!
We loved Tremiti islands (San Domino in particular, the isle where we stayed) and this place is an ideal place to stay: near the central place (5min walk), near the southern/western/eastern beaches (15-20 min walk, there is a circular path), near also to the port (25min walk, but Michele when you arrive, comes at the port to pick you up, no problem for the luggages). Pay attention that on these isles the cars of the guests are forbidden (or allowed with special and restricted authorisations), so you have to walk to go everywhere, mostly on the paths under the pinewoods trees.
In sum, we reccomend this place: moreover, the island leave you a sensation of serenity and friendship, no frills, no souvenir shops everywhere, no fashion, no stylish dresses, only real people in t-shirt, that greet each other during a walk, friendliness and silence: the familiar and friendly ambience of the Villa Skanderbeg helped us to love this isle even more. For a restaurant, if you don't want to dine here, we found very good food at Da Pio restaurant.
