I've stayed at the Prince Park Tower twice. The staff is incredibly courteous (which is, of course, culturally ingrained) and the concierge is prepared to go above and beyond. I contacted them a few weeks before my arrival and asked them to purchase tickets for the Shinkansen for me. They had no problem doing that and making a reservation for me at the Kayabukiya Tavern in Utsunomiya (the monkey waiter restaurant). The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and the bed (both times) was HUGE! I didn't partake in the breakfast buffet (American or Japanese) but I did order room service a few times and it was tasty. I just wish they had a slightly bigger variety on the menu but I can live without that. Take some time to watch Japanese TV...it is hilarious! The bathroom is enormous with a separate shower and bath and both times my room had a great, up close view of Tokyo Tower! And it's super easy to get a taxi in the morning as well as the shuttle to Hamamatsucho Station about every 30 minutes. Be sure to make a reservation because it's a small shuttle. Overall, great stay!

Stayed 1 night in Feb 2012. We got a great 50% off deal on a corner double room. The room was a fantastic size for Tokyo standards as was the bathroom (huge with separate shower & large bath). Toilet was separate to the bathroom as well. While not ultra modern all fittings etc were high quality & cleanliness of the room was perfect. 12noon check-out is a great bonus. Did not spend much time in the hotel however the staff were very helpful with the few requests we had & speak English.
The hotel is in a nice quiet area however we did not see much in the immediate vicinity except Tokyo Tower is literally across the road & our room had a great view of it.
The closest Metro station is Akabanebashi on the Oedo Line - take the exit marked for Tokyo Tower & to the right & across the road you will see the hotel as soon as you get out. Only need to cross 2 roads (1-2mins walk maximum). There were also heaps of taxis waiting to take hotel guests from the front door in the evening.
If you can get a good deal & looking for good size, clean rooms with excellent staff I would highly recommend Prince Park Tower.

Room Tip: Corner Double rooms are a great size for Tokyo

Service is pretty good, front desk and concierge were very responsive and courteous. The only issue was when I arrived at 10pm at the front door, there was no porter to help me with my two heavy bags. But once someone from inside saw me struggling, he came rushing to help.

Room (incl bathroom) is of a good size, which is surprising for a Tokyo hotel. The design is "functional" at best, nothing luxury. But to have such a sizable room in Tokyo itself is already quite a luxury. And the view is quite spectacular, especially if you are in the mid-to-high floors, even if it was not a Tokyo Tower-facing room.

Gym and onsen is okay. A long trek underground from the main hotel building, and it's not free. Actually if you go to the gym alone it is free for hotel guests, but access to the onsen and pool will require additional payment, which I thought was quite worth it.

Perhaps the biggest complaint is the neighbourhood. There is NOTHING around! Took me almost 10 minutes to walk to the nearest convenient store, which was even less well stocked than the hotel shop. And there is no restaurant nearby. The only saving grace is the subway station 5 minutes walk away, which can take you to Roppongi and Shinjuku relatively quickly.

Room Tip: Get a higher floor room

Very handy location and very friendly accommodating staff.

Only negative was the 'non-smoking' section of the 1st floor bar, I don't think the bar actually accommodates non-smokers at all.

Great hotel near Tokyo Tower & Rail links. Close to tour boats of Tokyo area. Catch trains, boats to all Tokyo attractions easily and safely. English speaking staff and will translate your requests into Japanese for you to take on your journey. Lovely Shrines & Temples and walking distance to wander around the Emperor's Palace. Lots shops and eateries. Great noodle bars.

Room Tip: request non smoking floor. Double or twin beds. Breakfast included
