I have been to Tokyo many times, normally staying at the Imperial, but new company with office near the Prince Park Tower led to my decison to stay there. It does not, nor would I expect it to, have the grandness of the Imperial but in almost every other respect it as least as good an experience. I stayed for 6 nights earlier this month (March 2012) on the 30th floor in a corner room with an awesome view of the Tokyo Tower. The room was comfortable reasonably large with a good working area, but it was the bathroom that was outstanding, with a hugh picture window overlooking Tokyo, one of the best showers ever and a great bath with a VERY powerful jacuzzi. Staff were welcoming & always friendly & helpful when needed.
There are a few restaurants in the basement of the hotel, but the only meals I had were breakfast - at the buffet on the top floor. Great views of course, but I would say that the breakfast was average value for money at best. It was very busy on the Sunday morning (with non-guests?) and I had to wait for 20 mins to get a table.
Overall, very happy with the hotel and the discounted room was particularly good value for near-central Tokyo.More
