I live in Bali, eat good quality of rice everyday, and yet Torigin kamameshi made me realize there's yet another different kind of "bliss" I can get from eating, well, rice.

But the fun didn't stop there. Their grilled chicken skewers were also fantastic. My family favorite was the chicken liver, one of the best chicken liver dishes I've tasted in the whole world.

Don't get discouraged if you arrive here finding a long queue, their lines move pretty fast. You'll be missing a lot if you don't eat at this restaurant!

My family has always eaten at this yakitori joint in Ginza. Used to frequent this place when they had a branch in Denenchofu but unfortunately it closed down.

Found in the back alley of Ginza it may be a challenge finding this place but it’s worth the struggle. Has three floors and is always full. Yakitori is fresh and tender. Negima, kawa (chicken skin) and tebasaki (wings) are exceptionally good. Kamameshi (rice dish) takes 30 minutes to prepare; however, it’s worth the wait. Variety of kamameshi to select from but I recommend the gomoku kamameshi.

Just a side note- this place can get smokey with smokers on weekdays. Therefore, if you are a non-smokers visit this place on weekends as they do not allow smoking on Saturday and Sunday. Credit cards are not accepted here so take enough cash with you. Price varies depending on how many people are with you.

Highly recommended yakitori in Ginza.

5 star for me, one of the best Yakitori we've had for some time. Strategic location, nearby Ginza Station. Quality food and great service at a reasonable price.

I have been to Torigin in Ginza several times. The first few times the experience had been quite positive: very good selection of yakitori (me and my girlfriend took the 18 pieces option) at an affordable price. The last time we went we have been a bit disappointed as some of the skewers were not properly cooked. Overall a good place to try.

Good restaurant in the middle of Ginza with lots of local patrons. Reasonably priced yakitori mainly chicken and veggies. English menu available.
