We decided to see a one act performance. I went to a live performance (kabuki inspired) in another theater about three years ago (2016) and I loved it. So I was excited to try another one.
The performance however was not too impressive. I believe this is an experience for those that understand Japanese and history well. Most of the performance was dialogue amongst the actors, the music was minimal, and there was not much physical movement in the play.
If you are looking for a cool spectacle with traditional music or performances, I don't recommend this, unless you already have a specific play picked out that might have that.
So be careful if you gamble and go to a show that you have no idea about because it could be dialogue that you don't understand for an hour an a half.
