When I checked in something felt familiar about the hotel. Upon reflection I realized I had stayed there almost 25 years ago. Not much had changed. This didn't bother me as I enjoyed the nostalgia and contrasted it with all the change the rest of the city has undergone.
We stayed in a tatami room for 4 nights. By the end of our time the rest of my family was ready to sleep in beds again. Our room was large and comfortable enough for all four of us and had a strong wi-fi signal. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet the first morning and went to a local coffee shop the other three. It is perfectly located for short walks to shopping and dining.
What impressed me most was the quality of the staff and the services provided. The front staff assisted us with our luggage and with arranging shipment of our bags to Haneda on our last night.
If you can put up with the age of the rooms and facilities and are looking for a central location in Hiroshima with great service, this will be a good fit for you. If you are looking for more swank and have a larger budget, the Rhiga Royal may be a better choice. I'll stay there again.More
