By the water...the walk is really pleasant with fantastic views. Apparently its even better when the cherry blossoms bloom. I'll be back. Heading east out of Sakuranomiya gates is the better walk. Across the river is quieter too, if you want that

Kemasakuranomiya Park is nestled amongst endless rows of cherry trees situated on the Okawa River. Nearly 5000 cherry trees line Okawa River for several kilometers. We walked along the riverside promenade on both sides of the river enjoying the beautiful colour & fragrance of the trees. The Park is somewhat small but is a popular destination for the local Japanese people who picnic and socialize in the park under the many cherry trees. It's a beautiful scenic, peaceful walk where you can also view a variety of ships and boats cruising along the river.

Don’t go unless it’s cherry blossom season, it’s a nice park but without the blossoms it wasn’t great. Close to a subway though!

Located on the banks of the Okawa's river, the park is one of the most popular spot for enjoy the wonderful of cherry blossoms. People usually having a picnic on that occasion. For traveler, they can also enjoy it by cruising the river.

Other than enjoying Sakura blooming, the park is a nice place to relax and play with the kids. It is fresh and not crowded. There are available a lot of park benches to enjoy the scenery. People can also play or exercise on the wide sand field which is just like playing on the beach.
