Not really worth the effort involved in getting there. Out of the way and hard to find from the Shitennojimae Yuhigaoka subway station. We entered by what turned out to be a back entrance into a cemetery. There was an entrance fee to the main temple courtyard. We didn't bother.

The pagoda is the main attraction here. Buildings well kept, clean, neat and tidy. Okay to look around. No gardens. Just lots and lots of gravel. Just took a few photos and left. Wouldn't recommend.

Might be best to get off at Tennoji subway station and walk north.

Very impressive temple. We got there for 8.30am - it is fairly quiet then and gives you a chance to appreciate the temple & its surroundings.

It is a very big temple with so many Gods statues. But try to visit this place before 4PM as after that main temple get closed.

Nothing special but if you are first time in Osaka, you can pay a short visit to this place. Is actually a resting place for the soul with historic value.

Was staying in a hotel in Tennoji. It was a beautiful morning so visiting the Temple made for a nice early morning, pre-brakfast walk. Took about 10 minutes to get there from TennojI Station. Temple and architecture are beautiful. Very chilled out place in the heart of the city where you can get some peace and quiet.
