We stayed at the Elsereine and it is nice. The lobby is very white and modern. The room was small but clean and nice. The location is pretty good, not great. I would book closer to Namba if I went back, that's where the action is. This is about 10 minutes walk to the Osaka station and very near the subway.

We traveled as a couple in our 20's and stayed for 4 nights.
Room 1204 on the 12th floor. Standard Twin Room.

The hotel is located about a 8 minute walk from Osaka railway station and 12 form Umeda subway station and is accessible directly from Osaka's underground walkways. Just keep walking in the direction of the hotel until you see a big sign with the hotels name. It was raining most of the time while we were in Osaka so this was very practical. Nearby you can find tons of continence stores and Japanese-style restaurants.

Check-in was quick and easy. We had already paid for our reservation through Hotels.com. We got our room key and was pointed toward the elevator. The reception is located on the 2nd floor and is accessible, from the ground floor, both with an elevator and escalators.

The room was clean and bright. In the room was a TV, water kettle, hair-dryer, 2 beds, sofa-bed, a small table and a desk in front of the window. The view from the window on the 12th floor was okay, the big buildings in front of the hotel didn't allow for much of a skyline view. There were both regular curtains and black.out curtains to keep the room dark after sunrise. The beds were of the firmer type and comfortable to sleep in. Extra duvet and pillow was available in the room. There was an ice-machine and a vending machine full of alcoholic drinks next to the elevator on our floor.

The bathroom had a bathtub, a Washlet-toilet with "oshiro" and bidet. Lots of toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste (this tasted incredibly bad), hairbrush/comb, soaps, high-end one-use razor, shaving cream, hairnet, body-towel, cotton pads, q-tips, separate one-use shampoo and conditioner-packs. The staff made sure to refill everything daily, including the toothbrushes. This is always appreciated even if you don't use a new toothbrush every day it feels nice that you always have everything stocked up.
The bathtub was bigger that that of a standard Japanese bathtub.

We did not have anything to eat at the hotel so I cannot provide a review of the food but we did have one problem during our stay. The wifi in the room was extremely slow at times before disappearing altogether on the 2nd day. After telling the reception staff about this I got the wifi-password for the 2 adjacent rooms. Internet was still slow while sometimes disconnecting so that will be an issue if you're someone who likes to stream movies on Netflix etc.. The hotel had clearly printed out that the hotel had no guarantees that the Wifi quality would be good, so this doesn't affect my score a whole lot but it did take away from a otherwise great experience.

The location, cleanliness of the room and price is enough for me to recommend staying and Elsereine Osaka.

What I liked most about this hotel is it's close to the Osaka station about 8mins walk and has an underground shopping mall to entertain along the way and keep you dry if it's raining. You step into the hotel off the subway tunnel. The hotel itself is really aimed at business travellers and weddings as opposed to tourists but if you mainly aim to sleep here it's perfect. The staff are professional, the hotel is 'fancy' looking, according to my 7 yr old. There's even a crystal like horse and carriage in the foyer. We had a triple room and it was very cosy. Which is 3 single beds in the one room. There's no place for suitcases other than against the wall in front of the beds but it left a little walkway to get past. At times we had to climb across the beds to get past if someone was getting something out of their suitcase but like I said, if you are just aiming to sleep here than it's fine. Breakfast was included in our deal and they have a buffet. This included, fruit, juice, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, cereal, toast, pastries, sweet potato, dim sims. The food is not outstanding (although the pastries taste great) but it will fill you up until lunch. Espresso is included in the price. There are some restaurants within the hotel, we didn't eat there other than breakfast because in the underground mall outside there are plenty of restaurants that are cheaper. There's also a subway (sandwich place) and Outback steakhouse nearby if you want to eat something off a menu you understand for a change :) Price for the quality was good.

We stayed in this hotel in mid-May, and were immediately impressed with the beautiful decor of the restaurant and reception area.

It's a short walk (10 mins) from Osaka station, and is centrally located between two main tourist zones.

Around the hotel itself there are quite a few restaurants and cafes.

Reception was efficient and polite, rather than warm, in the way of big city hotels.

The room was large, clean and very nicely furnished, with good curtains and blinds especially. It was also quiet.

Breakfast was very good, and had a wide range of types of food on offer. Westerners were well catered for.

Overall this was a top class city hotel stay. Recommended.
