Kobe is a modern city with moderate size. The traffic is a bit complicated but if you arrive from the airport, by airport line or the rail (except the bullet train) you are almost right in the centre and this hotel is close almost to everything. The room is larger than we thought (twin room) Free breakfast is a great plus.

It has 2 minutes walk from the east exit of JR Sannomiya Station and Port Liner, 3 minutes walk from the east No.3 exit of Sannomiya Station on Hanshin or Hankyu Lines and Subway Line.Travellers don’t get tired. Rates for Double / Twin rooms are per room were very economical .Any tourists can afford it easily. My daughter stayed with me for two days without charge. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Interesting thing is that all of them were very well versed in English. Rooms are equipped with a desk and fridge. Guests can relax with a video-on-demand movie and use the humidifier for comfort in cold weather. Rooms were very good with air-conditioned a modern bathroom , flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi await guests at Toyoko Inn. Free breakfast is very sumptuous ,full of variety and it is served at the lobby on a first-come, first-served basis. Free-use internet terminals with an attached printer are provided in the lobby, which also has free Wi-Fi. Coin-operated laundry machines and a shared-use microwave are available. I had a wonderful experience

Room tip: Best located area ,very economical

Best choice for this Budget hotel.

Last time stayed there on a trip to Fukuoka and Kagoshima around eight years ago. This time stayed here for a couple of nights. As usual, excellent location. Three minutes walk to Sannomiya Stn, and there were plenty of restaurants and a big supermarket within a couple of blocks of the hotel. We drove and they had parking for 1,200 yen a night. However, I later noticed that the parking building right across the street was offering parking from 10pm to 8am for only 500 yen flat. So there are options. The room was clean with full amenities but space was tight. So if you are not tall-and-big and only use the room to sleep, you wouldn't complaint. Breakfast was simple but good as before. Staff seemed a bit overworked as the lobby was constantly with people checking in and out (mainly business travellers). The hotel also offers a small discount if you stay for more than one night and you don't need daily room-cleaning (think they call it eco-saver). Given that room cost per night per head is just slightly more than a decent dinner, I say it offers good value. If you go there without much expectation, you will be surprised. The amazing thing is that their website has grown from eight years ago with Japanese only to now with nine languages, and they will be opening new hotels in the Philippines early next year. Their model must be working well.

Room tip: Since most of the Toyoko Inns are in town centers, try to stay on higher floors to avoid street noise.

Very clean hotel good location freindly staff close to Sennomiya, JR train station, Bus terminal long distance, city bus, city loop bus just 2 block away about 5 min walk, restraurant, food markets, supermarket, Sogo mall, walkable to Kitano Ijinkan, mosque, Kobe tower water front about 20 min, China town about 10 min, almost everywhere is nearby. Tourist information centre is right beside the bus terminal just below the Terminal hotel and Hanshin line, Hankyu line, JR train are all connected within the Sennomiya station. I will came back to this hotel in the future. Rate is reasonable and room is not too small compared to Japanese 2* hotel. Upon arrival you can apply for Toyoko Inn club member with a fees of 1,500yen and 60 years above is 1,000 yen only and you get discount and other benifits for your rooms booked online for all Toyoko chain hotel in Japan, its a saving if you plan to revisit Japan one day.

Room tip: Upper floors are better and more quiet and room 905 twin is good, hotel complimentary breakfast included is simple but good to keep you full, microwave at lobby is added bonus to heat your food, the room is comfy with good lighting
