We enjoyed our 2-night stay at the Aesko Resort very much. The owners are hospitable and friendly. The hotel has a lot of character - it has a beautiful view of Vytina from the front of the building. Breakfast was plentiful and was offered until 12pm, which we found very convenient. Vytina is about 1km from the hotel, and we enjoyed the privacy of the hotel's location. The room was clean and had nice amenities. My only two complaints are that the bathroom was VERY tight (even for Greek standards) and our fireplace would not maintain a flame. Otherwise everything was wonderful and I would certainly stay again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of Vytina if possible. Our room unfortunately faced the back of the hote...

I have been there in the midle of december 2012 (weekend).i din't pay for my stay cause i had earneded from my company, and i say that cause i saw in the room that they charge it 300 euro/night, then i check the hotel site and saw that they have done better price 100 euro/night.
I think that in this time that we are, few years with economy crisis, that 100 euros are too much.
As about the room was big and clean and has only two minus .
1st the bathroom is too small and 2nd the balcony is at the back of the hotel and you miss the nice view that provides the front side.the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was with lot of local treats.

We stayed from 23-12-12 and left 25-12-12. Giorgos and Vana the owners were very polite, and willing to help in anyway. The room was very good, exactly as in the photos of the site.We stayed at no 9. It was spacious, clean, with a kitchenette and a fireplace, a table and a nice but very small bathroom. The lighting was very good with dimmers and wallwashing lights of the stone wall. There was a normal size lcd and a dvd player. We really didnot miss anynothing, felt like home. The only problem was that we had a feeling of chimney smoke sometimes, like if it was coming from the fireplace. We left the balcony door a little open and it was gone. The lobby and dinning room were very nicely decorated and with a very warm feeling. Again i was smelling a bit of the fireplace sometimes. The breakfast was rich, but except the honey and the marmalades which were very good, the rest were just normal as quallity. We had dinner on the 24-12 which was descent, delicious, but nothing special (not gourmet!) , like a nice home made food. The location a think is the best, because it is near Vytina, with a great view from every room of the Vytina village, a very quite place indeed. I would visit it again, because the overall experience was very positive.

Room Tip: upper floor looking to Vytina have the best view

Decided to take the kids for a ski weekend in late February. Though my family comes from the Pelopponnese, I had not visited Vytina very often and had never stayed overnight. We chose the AESKO (means 'to calm down, to relax" in Homeric ancient Greek) Resort for its very nice two-storey houses, perfect for our family of 4. The greeting from the owners was very warm, the little house full of modern amenities (DVD for the young ones to watch and keep quiet for a while..., nice bathrobes, etc.) very nicely decorated and with a great fireplace that we lit in the evening enjoying a very romantic night with my wife (in the quiet, I mentioned before !!) The breakfast was good, the view from our balconies (two of them) open and fresh, all in all a very nice place for a short or long weekend. The only point that kep me from giving it 5 stars is its rather high price (for the current economic crisis situation in Greece), at around 200 EUR per night.
