“Thank you, thank you, thank you !”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We just got married on Lusty Beg in September and just had to post our thanks to the whole team.

We stayed on the island and the log cabins are amazing and really well done.

A massive thanks to Caroline and her whole team as the day ran really smoothly, we were a bit worried in the run up to the big day as Caroline had not had much contact with us, but we needn't have worried as it was like a military operation.

All the staff are super friendly and a special shout out to Flossy the bar supervisor and all the bar staff, they were really all up for the craic and made all our guests feel at home. We will definitely be back thanks again to everyone on Lusty Beg

“Wonderful unusual location”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

This an unusual spot for a pub/restaurant accessed on foot by a mechanical chain ferry for which there is space for 2 cars. We sat outside and enjoyed the summer evening weather overlooking the Lough. The bar food was good and the young lady who served us was very nice and helpful. Our visit was partially spoilt by the waiting staff not knowing what their 'Gourmet Society' offer was which meant us having to hang around whilst they tried to find out what we were supposed to have free! We were given a free starter but it should have been a free main course (we have subsequently had a refund of the difference from Lusty Beg after contacting them). Apart from that, I would certainly recommend this - it's worth a detour for the position alone. We didn't try the restaurant as they don't start serving until 6:30 and the children couldn't wait that long.

Travelled to Lusty Beg via boat for lunch. Great spot to moor the boat, hop off and sit and enjoy the sunshine! Food, service, surroundings all excellent! Will be back to stay!

“Great family spot to enjoy lunch.”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

Fantastic location for a restaurant. We enjoyed the hottest day of the year sitting at the water's edge sipping Guinness and enjoying the outstanding natural beauty of Lough Erne. Our girls loved the ferry ride across to the island, short but exciting for them. Always a great atmosphere, very friendly staff and customers.
Lusty would be one of my top ten places to visit in Ireland. A few improvements could be made on bar service and the food menu. You seem to queue for a very long time for drinks even though there are 6 bar staff working and not many people waiting at the bar area and the food menu is very basic, great for burger and chips, steak baguettes and steaks, all very good and tasty but something a little more interesting would go a miss. Don't let this put you off, it's a fantastic spot, worth a visit!!

“Excellent Location”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

Really nice pub/restaurant, accessed by a chain pull ferry. We hardly had to wait at all for either trip and added to the occasion. The service was excellent, even though there was a wedding party in, we had to wait whilst a table was cleaned, but this did not take long. The only criticism we had was that we had to send back one of our rare steaks, as it was well done, the one that came was kind of rare but nowhere near as nice as the one good one that we had received, hence the average review, sure it is very good on any other occasion.
