There are lots of great things to do in the Piedmonte - this is NOT one of them. Its a shame that such a beautiful old castle has been disfigured in this way. Perhaps very small children would enjoy the silly dioramas and foolish representations (metronomes with angel wings for time???), but anyone else will be offended. There is some historical information there, but it is hard to find in all of the stupidity.
The Enoteca is impressive, but by the time we got there we just wanted to leave as quickly as possible.
Advice: Enjoy the lovely town of Barolo, drink the King of Wines, but skip this silly museum.

Not what you expect but worth a visit. It fun and if you have children they will like the interaction with the toys and games. We enjoyed it and were lucky to visit when this years Barolo wine was available for tasting. We had 80+ bottles to chose from for 15e. It was fab - every one :-)

OK, the effort they made in building up this attraction has been huge.. but what a waste!
We found it very tacky; despite some of the content was good value the layout, lights, noises made it terrible.

The view from the terrace was impressive, and quite interesting the first floor with some original furniture; however 8€ each to walk through a corridor with yellow light to represent the sun, one dark one with a moon on the ceiling, a long corridor with some adam&eve features and water cascade... well a waste of money and 20 minutes.

There is 5000 years of history behind the wine they could have appraised better, a more informative educational way than this tacky exhibition.
It's a shame because the content is there, there is a big room with the full history from dark ages to modern days but the noises, dark lights, boring layout make you run out fast.

This museum ranks as the worst amature effort I've seen in decades. Rather silly displays, particularily on the third floor.

Very strange place with dark passageways. And strange graphic exhibits. Didn't like it at all only there for15 minutes !!' Best bit is the view of the castle from afar!!!
