Agriturismo le Viole
Ranked #3 of 12 Barolo B&B and Inns
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed May 17, 2010

If you're looking for high-end luxury or medieval castles, there are many other places in the area. We ended up at Le Viole thanks to a friend's suggestion and returned for the past six years every year. Signora Luciana and her husband Franco literally do everything to please their guests and make them feel like at home. The rooms are large, clean, well built and well equipped (recently they even installed Sat TV). If you're lucky enough to have clear sky in the morning, enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the Piemontese Alps and the Monviso peak from the balcony. The breakfast is definitely a highlight with the vast selection cheese, homemade jam, salami, fresh cakes baked every morning etc. Although we are no breakfast people, this one is too good to skip and on top gives a solid foundation for wine tasting. With 65€ per room incl. breakfast, value for money is hard to top. Also, the location of the agriturismo is very good, not being in a crowded touristic village but nevertheless being close to Barolo and La Morra and also within 15-20 min reach of Alba and Monforte.
All in all, besides the excellent value for money, the true luxury of this place is the unique and genuine Piemontese hospitality you will experience from Signora Luciana and her husband Franco.
