“An informal family option”

The club is small with the usual area for gambling but the bulk of the space is an open deck overlooking the park, children's playground and beach access. The club offers a great dining out option for families on holiday with children.
The menu is not sophisticated and is priced reasonably, I have noted the comments from an earlier contributor and accept the comments but as the chef has recently changed the standard has lifted and would compete well with other club restaurants in this area.
The bar offers several (very cold) beers on tap but the wine list is limited to the usual retail brands. There are several dining options in Peregian Beach but the club is well worth a visit for lunch or dinner, particularly if you have the family to consider.

The restaurant is part of the surf club and is a little disappointing - especially with the quality of the food.

We went as a family group and tasted a few different dishes that were on the menu.

The kids enjoyed their meals which was a relief.

The adults weren't. It was as if the chef had a day off.The main complaint was that the food just didn't taste fresh - not a good look.

The meals were not inexpensive either and fresh food is an important factor in providing value for the food served.

I am unsure as to how they can remedy the problems that are obviously not being addressed as the surf club holds an important place in the community.
