We went to Pitchfork Restaurant in Peregian as we knew the chef had previously been head chef at Harvest in Coolum Beach and this had a fantastic reputation. It helped that we had an Entertainment Book Voucher to encourage us to check it out. It was difficult getting a booking, so you had to book ahead, which is not ideal if you are making a last minute decision. However, it was worth the wait. Great wines, great food, lovely atmosphere and great staff all combined to make a very pleasant evening. We usually do not go out unless we are in with a chance of getting something better than what I myself can create at home, and Pitchfork did not disappoint. I had a duck dish with some beautiful Labna (a drained yoghurt, with herbs added) and a beautiful eggplant accompaniment. My husband had his usual steak which came in a delicious red wine jus and lots of vegetables. He also had the home made sour dough bread roll which he was impressed with. Definitely would go back to this one, it is a keeper!
