“Gem at Peregian”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

Menu was novel and food good. Not an enormous lot of choice. Good quality ingredients, presented well and in timely fashion. Can BYO wine or drink restaurant s by glass or bottle. With one notable exception staff were happy and warm. Would need to book in December unless really early. Seating and lighting comfy. Spaghettini was superb!

“Fantastic dinner for two”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

The food, wine and service were all outstanding. Not an extensive menu but quality was excellent. Some unusual combinations were surprisingly tasty. We'll be back next time we visit Peregian Beach

“Rude service”
Reviewed November 12, 2013

Our group of four with two babies under 14 months found an outside table that was vacant and took a seat after waited near the bar to be served. There were no signs stating wait to be seated. We had the young waitress come to the table 3 times asking us if we had a booking. No menus, no water, no greeting this happened over a 15mins period. We presume it was the manager, came out after one of the mums in group starting breast feeding as we had been sitting there for over 15mins, and told us the table was reserved and when he made up another table we would have to move. He then walked off back to the bar and started drying glasses. We waited a little longer, there was a table inside but it was not made up. The other waitresses were also behind the bar getting a drink. There appeared to be no effort make up the table and have us move. We told the manager we were leaving and he shrugged his shoulders and kept drying his glasses. The place was fairly full so there must be some reason for the patronage, we certainly won't be back.

“An up market choice for dining in Peregian”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

The are several options in Peregian but most are themed by their main offers, fish, pizza, Thai, Indian etc. Pitchfork is more a restaurant with chef inspired dishes. Mains are $30 plus and there are entrees and deserts as well. The menu is limited to a few dishes from various foods to provide plenty of choice. The restaurant is licensed but will allow BYO wine, the local pub has a bottle shop next door.
Pitchfork has dining in the covered area outside and has recently been expanded into the premises next door to provide a lot more inside dining area.
Whether you are dining as a group or a couple I would recommend Pitchfork to everyone visiting Peregian Beach.
