This restaurant was a great find … we stopped after looking at other “restaurants” that didn’t have any food on hand (in is remarkable how often that occurs in Sri Lanka!) , and Fujisan had a wide menu available and very quick service.
Our family of five had two Mexican dishes, one Sri Lankan dish, a Chinese dish, and a sandwich. All were very good, and I was particularly impressed with my chicken burrito and the quality of their guacamole. Service was good, and prices were reasonable.
We spoke for a while with the owner’s wife, and they lived in Japan for several years as cooks at a Hard Rock Café in Nagoya. That is from where they have named the restaurant. They do serve Japanese food on some days, when ingredients are available, but not every day.
We are in Mirissa for 4 more nights, and will surely return.
