If in Mirissa this is the place to stay. It's beautiful, boutique, has a swimming pool, best authentic food and greatest value for money. Perfect for couples, families, travellers.
It's beautiful surroundings and layout are just across the road from the beach and walk to town. The main beach is a short walk on the main road or cheap tuk tuk drive. Compared to beach accommodation this is definitely preferable because of the quality and value of accommodation. The house grounds grow bananas, mangoes and coca beans. The chef is an experienced Sri Lankan restaurant cook and makes meals decided ad hoc each evening if you want to stay at the house - they are delicious! The rooms are simple but beautiful, clean and new. Most seem to have balconies and lots of space. The couple who run the house are attentive and helpful and keen to talk to guests in any way they can help. The staff are always very friendly. The couple who live on the grounds alongside the wife's parents which has pros and cons. There is an 11pm curfew to be back at the house as the doors are locked and the owners would have to get up for people. This is slightly dampening to any evening freedom outside of the grounds but the couple are adaptable. The owners, a British husband and Sri Lankan wife are charming.
