If you’re flicking through reviews of places to stay in Mirissa, don’t waste any more time and just book this place!

The place itself is right on the seafront with perfect views, the rooms are super and have everything anybody would need, so whilst it’s basic and rustic it’s great and the colonial surroundings are lovely.

The staff are absolutely brilliant and so wonderfully friendly. We were here for the Sri Lankan New Year and they invited us to join in with them for a family lunch- it was stunning.

I haven’t seen one single place in Mirissa that I’d rather be staying at than Palm Villa..so get it booked!

During our stay in Mirissa we accidentally found this place. Perfect located just on the edge between the more frequented swimming beach part and the point break shelter for turtles and surfers. The house has a unique charm with it's beautiful garden and it's old classy rooms. Even though the stay there is not cheap, we never had the feeling it was not worth the money. The staff especially the head of operations are really helpful and keep the place running like a good oiled engine.
If ever back to Mirissa... definitely Palm Villa again.

If you are going to Mirissa we recommend this hotel. It is located on the outer edge of the large beach and with a very beautiful quiet garden. The rooms are personal and slightly bohemically decorated. Nice atmosphere

Big nice rooms, excellent beds, good breakfast and complimentary afternoon snacks with tea and coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Just outside the garden you can go swimming. The wifi is bad, it worked only in the resaurang area, not in the rooms.

This place should be enjoyed for its location and atmosphere not its room amenities. The sea view rooms are a good size, lots of space, with sizeable balconies to relax on. But its the old colonial style building that is the best thing about this hotel. Feels like someone's grand house. The breakfast in morning is served very near next to the edge of the sea, waves lapping onto the beach. You can sit and watch the surfers catch the break further out to sea. Go and join them if you are up to it, boards can be rented a short distance away. The louder part of Marissa beach is a short walk away. A ton of other beaches just a short tuk tuk rides away, all tuk tuks waiting outside to take you. Also you can't hear the traffic from the road at night which is great.Thank you Palm Villa!

Room tip: Rooms with balconies with sea view are the best!
