This guesthouse used to be run by a family, but not any more. But don't worry. The man running it now is great. What ever you need to know, find or do he tries to find a way to help you.

My room was very basic, but I really loved the bed in it. Clean and good moskito net!

You can order many types of foods from sea food to curry and snacks. Everything I had was good. Prices are ok too.

Guesthouse is between the sea and the road and both really loud sometimes. Really close to Sun 'n' Sea you will find internet service, small shop, beach restaurants, a temple....

Mirissa is so peaceful and beautiful (for the moment, hopefully in the future too). I booked a room for two nights and stayed three.

Don't choose this place if you want to find action and parties. If you enjoy swimming, surfing, reading and relaxing this is your place!

Room Tip: Make sure you have a window. There is 1 or 2 without.

Sun and Sea is toward the east end of Beach. Kalyarni runs it with a big smile with husband Dharamadasa and son Yassas. Its near the small bridge and opposite the Hill leading to the Buddhist temple. Its a great place for travelers a hark back to the 70s and 80s where you really experienced family life. Its about the cheapest place around so don't expect the Ritz, but honesty and warmth Buddhist style. The rooms are simple basic and clean all with en suites and its right on the Beach , we left our windows open every night for the breeze. Kalyarni will really spoil you with her breakfast and dinners at night with rice and lots of different curries , don't worry about not having enough food to eat, the servings of any food or drink are generous to say the least. We stayed for 9 days then went back for another 4 after leaving one of our bags there to make bus travel easier. I told them it might be a good idea to make a new sign as the old one is hard to see. Enjoy !

Room Tip: Nous avons apprécié la chambre indépendante des autres en entrant à droite dans la cours.
