What a location. Beautiful! We opted for the beach hut, it was very basic, small, with a fan and oddly you walked through the shower to the toilet but who cares. You don't go to a beach hotel to sit in the room. Also you can upgrade to snazzy aircon rooms if you do not like the sand (!?), but you may be in the wrong place...
We were told in advance that the pool was being renovated but even then I always read tripadvisor so it also says so here. They had a deal with a neighbouring hotel and you could use their pool. They would even provide the taxi but I can walk for five minutes fine. To be honest the sea was much more fun anyway. They could use steps down to the beach as the remnants of the tsunami make it a wee bit sharp in places on your bare feet.
The food was okay but I prefer to eat in the little beach places or hidden backstreer gems anyway. Hotels always cater for the weak stomachs and that's not why I went to Sri Lanka.
Good fun stay. I would go back. More
