“Heaven!!”
Reviewed October 31, 2017 for a stay in August 2017

My partner and I came here for a short stay with our two children and absolutely loved every minute of our time here - infact, we were reluctant to come home! The booking process was painless, we dealt with a lovely lady called Mandy who was very efficient and timely in her communications with us. On arrival the lodge itself was spacious yet cosy, with a really relaxing, homely feel to it. The lodge is well equipped and I cannot fault the cleanliness of the property, either inside or out, and it is clearly well maintained to a very high standard. The holiday park itself is beautiful - we were situated within a few feet of the lake and the surroundings are simply idyllic - ideal for escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life! If you don't fancy cooking there is a bar and bistro on site which we went to and the food is reasonably priced and delicious too! There's a small shop, a play park and swimming pool for the children to enjoy, we could get our two out of the pool. All in all, we had an excellent stay here and we have recommended you to all of our friends and family. Thank you Mandy for such an enjoyable stay...it's safe to say you've made a customer for life with us and we can't wait to book in again next year!

“Beautiful home from home”
Reviewed October 31, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

My partner and I stayed with our little boy in the lakeside lodge. We had a brilliant time! The lodge itself is very spacious and clean, with amazing views. We were greeted by the ducks every morning, feeding them with our little boy was a particular highlight.
The lodge caters for every need, and is fantastically cosy on an evening with the fire lit. The site has great facilities, and when we went it wasn’t overly busy so had a fantastic time in the pool and the playground. Would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

“Holiday visit 6th time in goosewood”
Reviewed October 27, 2017 for a stay in October 2017

Hi everyone visited goosewood holiday park for the last 6 years lovely quiet park but very peaceful to relax booked with a few private lodges on the park including goosewoods own which are not to bad if you want a wee cheeky relaxing break for cheap but yeah we thought we would spend a wee bit extra and book through mandy and her husband and pay double the price surely this must be luxury?at £150 a night against the £70 quid a night direct from goosewood right? Well what can i say first off we booked the Laburnum Lodge with hot tub so was a bit more expensive arrived late past the 6pm booking time as we drove from glasgow and the road was closed so arrived at 9.30pm out with our control was greeted with rude park staff almost telling us to drive back home.kids where desperate to go into the hot tub which you are allowed to go into until 11pm which is a great idea as it can be loud otherwise but then the problems started hot tub was freezing cold so i contacted mandy the previous day and she sent the cleaner out who was lovely and certainly new how to deal with customers in a very sincere manner and seemed more concerned than the owners the result Friday to Monday holiday with hot tub holiday well ruined the hot tub was fixed at 2pm on Sunday afternoon and didnt heat up until 7pm that evening the owners are not intrested in repeat business i was offered £50 plus 20% off my next break honestly i was insulted by there offer as my break was ruined 4 hours of a hot tub holiday out a 50 hour holiday i would expect at least 1 night returned i do understand these things can happen out with there control but honestly the correspondence was shocking chased them all weekend also the lodge is badly in need of a deep clean dirty dishes 2 place mats to eat your dinner for a lodge of 6 people the decking and outside of lodge is filthy and in need of a deep clean my honest opinion stay well clear as the owners mandy and her husband dont care once they have your money. And there are far superior lodges on the park that are clean and the owners are a million dollars in comparison sorry mandy but i write the truth get your act together and care about your customers like i care about my customers in my business good luck marc

Thank you for your comments. The hot tub at Laburnum is new this season and it is very unfortunate that it developed an electrical fault during the weekend you were there. You brought the problem to our attention on the Saturday morning and we immediately arranged for Rachel who not only looks after our hot tub but also our cleaning to visit and assess the situation. She advised it was an electrical fault at which point both myself and Rachel rang round many electricians to find one who could come out at the first opportunity which was Sunday morning.
There was no way for us to foresee this incident especially with the hot tub being under warranty and we did rectify the situation as quickly as possible.
With regards to your other comments, it is unfortunate you did not mention them earlier. Either when you accepted the £100 refund or better still to Rachel when she visited you or to ourselves when we were in contact on numerous occasions concerning the hot tub so that we would have had the chance to look at any areas you thought was unacceptable and to show you where the place mats were.
Once again we apologise that your stay was spoiled.

“Lovely cottage”
Reviewed June 14, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We had a great short break in this busy but quiet and beautiful park, which was just 20 minutes away from York. There is a fishing lake at the front of the cottage and a specious porch with a barbeque. We really enjoyed the sunshine sitting outside in the morning. The cottage is bright, spacious, modern and fully equipped. The third bedroom is quite small as it is meant to be for children, but can easily sleep two adults. The second toilet can make things much easier for a group of 6.
I would definately reccommend it.
