We had the great fortune to attend a wedding here and it truly was magical. The staff were awesome, nothing too much trouble. The rooms were spacious and clean - the bridal suite was awesome! The place was full of our lovely family including noisey kids and the staff were not phased at all.Imagine the setting a fairytale castle that you literally own for a day! What a great way to start your married life. One tip though your pint will set you back over £4 so be prepared!

Attended the wedding and evening receptions of close friends, staying overnight. The hotel certainly made a super effort to make the day very special for the couple, everything was just right. The wedding breakfast was very enjoyable with good food and well served, overseen by the events manager.

The layout of the hotel lends itself well to a wedding with the function room, conservatory and garden all being available for the use of guests, supported by a good bar!

The overnight accomodation was also of high standard. Clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom, with excellent shower and good storage space. We were located on the ground floor in a quiet corridor so there was no late night 'traffic'.

Breakfast the next morning was also good, excellent menu choice, and well served. All in all a really pleasant stay and although we live locally we'd be happy to stay again.

We had our wedding reception here in July, we couldn't of asked for more! special mentions have to go to Keith, Ashlea and Tony all were great with organising the day and helping our wedding run so smoothly, if you are thinking of having a wedding at Rowton go for it! we found Rowton to be the best wedding venue in Chester, we viewed many venues and Rowton Hall was by far the best for us! The grounds, bedrooms, ballroom are all beautiful, all our guests have are coming back to us how lovely all the food and staff were, its so nice to hear all the good feedback, we can't wait to return one day! thank you everyone at Rowton hall for a very special day!

My good friends wedding was held here at Rowton Hall. I have to say that from the moment we walked through the door (where the friendly owner met us and chatted whilst greeting us) until the early hours when we went to bed (slightly worse for wear!) all the staff were extremely professional, responsive and friendly - making the day itself run flawlessly. The food was top quality in the afternoon and evening, staff even went out of their way to get extra stock of Sambuca from their cellar - thanks for that! A special thank you to a gentleman called Keith who was the Toastmaster. His professionalism, confident manner and clear passion were second to none, ensuring everything ran smoothly. I would highly recommend Keith and Rowton Hall as a wedding venue or for any special occasion. Many thanks and hope to see you soon. Charlotte & Mark from Newton-le-Willows

We went at the last minute and got a great deal via laterooms for two nights starting on a Sunday on a dinner ,bed and breakfast basis. Table d'hote menu at £20 was included and we thought was very good . Hotel was quiet. Locals explained that it was a well known hotel very popular for weddings,Xmas party nights and people going to the races, outlet village etc.
We arrived to a warm welcome and were upgraded to a suite which was a lovely touch. Large comfortable, well equipped room with lovely view over the garden. Yes there was a frame round bed but not rickety. Might not be as I would decorate my own home but was well done and the large TV I thought was a good idea as if you were inclined to watch from the bed you could.
All the staff were lovely and helpful. We had no complaints at all about the food. We dont eat meat apart from chicken and fish .We had a good choice from the menu on offer ,all well cooked and presented. My other half loves to cook and he particularly enjoyed the butternut squash risotto. The menu also changed daily which was a pleasent suprise .We have stayed at some good 5star hotels where it doesnt and you can get a bit bored with the menu if there for a few nights on that basis. Before dinner we went for a drink in the bar and canapes were also included. No complaints at all .Breakfast was also lovely and the fresh prepared omlette and poached eggs were nice.
We had the terrace to ourselves and so enjoyed our drinks out there as the weather was great.
Spa looked lovely ,although we did not use, but clearly popular with locals.
Was about a 3 mile walk along canal to centre of Chester which on a sunny day was nice.
Would recommend and would go back. Very peaceful and relaxing break.Possibly if hotel had been busy, wedding on etc then might not have had the same experience.

Room Tip: Dont go at peak time, wedding on ,races etc
