After surgery in May this was our first proper holiday. We booked 2 weeks in mid November and were blessed with perfect weather. I asked for my mobility problems to be taken into account when allocating accommodation, but only as a request, not a requirement. We had a lovely room in the 500's with a stunning view, only a few minutes from all facilities and the beach which was beautifully cleaned every day by wonderful naturally friendly staff.
The main buffet restaurant was of a very high standard with the seafood and barbeque speciality evenings standing out. The other 3 restaurants which needed to be booked 3 days in advance were also very good, especially Morgans Pier the seafood restaurant, but most of the time we ate in the Palm Buffet as it was so good. Thanks to Theresa and all the staff there especially the lady who did the eggs whose name I forget- apologies!
The bars were the centre of the social life, mainly due to the bar staff-Unitha Kevin and Emma and Venesta who were a wonderful double act! The resident singing group in the Sunset Lounge evening entertainment were very high quality, but if there is any niggle it was the evening entertainment was quite unimaginative and needs to be upgraded. People tend to stay on site in all inclusive and the resort needs to spend a bit more money on its entertainment programme.

There were facilities which we didnt use, such as the water sports and excursions as we hired a car and organised our own, but other guests seemed very happy with what was provided. The beach was beautiful and kept very clean and tidy. When the weather became more changeable, the sea at the shoreline did become a bit murky but cleared just a few yards out. The bay and consequently the resort is not huge, and holiday makers who want a big resort with corresponding space and multiple entertainment options should be aware of this, but Morgan Bay more than makes up in quality what it lacks in quantity. It is very laid back and relaxed, and just the sort of holiday we needed after a fraught year

As mentioned by other reviewers, the staff are what makes this resort stand out. Without exception they were friendly, helpful and welcoming, from the reception staff to the cleaners, gardeners to the restaurant staff. The resort has just changed hands and hopefully any minor problems will be pinpointed and ironed out- but DONT change the staff!

Thanks to all at Morgan Bay for a wonderful holiday!

Room Tip: 500/600s fantastic sea views 600s some people thought were too close to the entertainment. The garden view rooms generally are exactly that. No sea view at all. If you have mobility issues say so when you book as some of the rooms are on quite sleep slopes. Tip- you can ALWAYS ring for a buggy to take you to and from your room.

My wife and stayed for 2 weeks in Dec. The food was by far the best I've had at any resort where we've stayed. There are few things to do in St. Lucia but the resort had enough going on to keep things fun. The gym staff were great and very friendly/funny. Our room was kept in emaculate order thanks to Elma. Great place to be to relax, tan and read.

Room Tip: Rooms on the east hiil (100-300) are great, a bit close to the highway but that never interupted our sleep.

Travelling with family from 7-77 most of the adults would not go back to this resort, they would stay somewhere nicer, with more consistent service. Now this is probably due to be there at the busiest time of year for sure!Check-in went fast but rooms were not what was booked. Families with little kids not connecting rooms, others with young adults siblings boy/girl no double beds, others not ocean view as booked, older people room long distance away when requesting close to amenities. Families managed connecting rooms but no double beds. Young adults could not get room switched that night, in the morning after considerably discussion got double beds but garden view not ocean view as booked - but settled as that was the main concern. Was told by reception that they had 150 people checking in that day Dec 24 and that others would say they got no double bed, really is it not who is there first gets what they request?
Reservations for 2 meals for 17 people dec 24 & 25 were made before going which went off great! Funny thing was though the meal of turkey looked different when served to each person! Service at restaurants sometimes made you go help yourself to coffee, silverware and such as they didn't always pay attention or listen. Need to have a snack bar around the main pool.
Le Jardin - Lucy was a great server and such a sense of humor we all enjoyed!Tried to book other days for meals and can only book 3 dys ahead, went in the morning at 10am to book and nothing available - found out it all depends who you talk to whether you can get in or not. This needs to somehow be changed as many times there were empty tables. Would be nice to have al-a-carte options for breakfast and lunch.
No clocks in the rooms at all. Maybe an island thing?
Some rooms had ants. Some had consistent cleaning some not.
Bar service was great! Drinks good. Although was always running out of glasses, also beach towels.
Ocean water had lots of seaweed and water was merky colour.
I think a lot of what some of the concerns were due to being the busy season and fully booked resort.
As everyone has mentioned the staff for the most part makes the place. It was a relaxing holiday that in the end all worked out and everyone enjoyed themselves. You just have to decide when going what you expect and definitely want.

I would definitely recommend this resort. We stayed there at the end of Nov 12 to beginning of Dec 12 and had a fantastic holiday. Room was large, bright and airy with a fantastic view and was well maintained. Gardens are beautiful and well kept and the location perfect, with nothing being too far away. We were lucky in that the resort was not full which meant we has lots of room. Sail boats, kayaks etc were normally free and there were lots of loungers available. The standard of food in all the restaurants was varied and very good (Le Jardin not tried), although when booking for a large party (there were 15 of us) it's worth specifying you would like to be seated together, on one table. The bars offer great service and each of the staff have their own 'special', a great way to try new combinations. All this said, the resort's real asset was the staff. We found all the staff extremely friendly, welcoming and happy to do whatever they could for you. Particularly noteworthy was Kenneth the bar waitress who would always have a joke with us and kept the drinks coming. Also Agnes, the lovely lady who cooks eggs in the main restaurant in the morning, so kind and warm, she main us smile every morning. The activities team were also real stars, they were all so enthusiastic and tried so hard to get us involved. They ran great aqua aerobics sessions every morning, changing them every day and joining in themselves and I would definitely recommend the Caribbean dancing classes, great fun! Whilst there we also took a day trip away with Joy's cruises. This, I would also recommend, we had such a great day. We were extremely well looked after by Joy's son Vaughn (aka Eric) and his mate. We went to the botanical gardens, volcano, mud-bath, had a fantastic lunch on the beach, went snorkelling and learned a lot about the island too. Great fun and great value. Altogether we had a great holiday and we all agreed we would definitely like to visit the resort again.

Room Tip: We stayed in 53.. something. Had a great view of gardens and sea and was a reasonable distance from bars and entertainment.

I enjoyed a lovely week here mid December & have already booked a family return here next Christmas!
The check-in process was efficient & welcoming after a long journey. The room was in the 300 block, 2nd floor & had a nice ocean view. The rooms are large & comfortable & cleaned to a good standard daily.
I agree with other travelers comments, the staff really make the place a relaxed & comfortable place to stay. The service is good in all the restaurants, I really loved the pier restaurant & the staff team there had time to chat & advise you on all the food options. Lobster was excellent, I was told it was in season in December!! Le Jardin restaurant was very nice for a special occasion at a little additional cost.
The pool & beach areas were always tidy & the morning I was up early I saw a good team of gardeners & pool staff getting everything ready for the day. I loved the water-sports & made full use of them! There is plenty of instruction for the inexperienced from a patient team on the beach. My only criticism - I did try the water Aerobics, but found an hour a little too long, I would rather be reading & snoozing on the beach!
As I said, we have booked a family holiday there for next Christmas already! Would recommend the resort to anyone. I have previously stayed at 2 or 3 other Caribbean resorts but would rate this as the best.
