We came in here on a Wednesday evening unexpectedly, as we searched for somewhere to have dinner along Jackson Street. We decided to try Adzuki as we hadn't been in for a couple of years (since they refurbished, I think they've also changed hands), and we also wanted to make use of the Entertainment book special offer (gold card 25% off total bill).
We were their first customers for the evening. The waitress was very attentive, and took good care of us.
We ordered the breads & dips to share to start, which came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The dips were nice, but the breads were a bit on the stale side (I think they may have been pre-frozen).
Hubby ordered the Beef Wellington, and requested medium. It arrived fairly rare, but he still enjoyed it (and couldn't finish it!), it was a very generous portion.
I ordered the fish of the day which was fresh Salmon with potato gratin served on baby bok choy. This was also very nice, but the fish was slightly undercooked so it turned cold quite quickly. Loved the flavours on the plate and was generally satisfied.
We didn't order dessert, as we didn't need it - but the menu had some very nice options.
The décor of the place is a lot different to how it was previously, I think they're going for more of a cafe feel during the day and restaurant by night.
All in all it was a pleasant evening. We will no doubt return. The price was very reasonable with the entertainment book discount, around $60. This included the shared entrée, 2 mains and 2 glasses of $10 wine.
