Very nice hotel in a quiet place. The restaurant also offers a good Italian variety of food. The area is very picturesque and worth seeing it. I recommend the hotel, i saw that has a good hall. I stayed for one night only.

The Hotel is located right opposite the Certosa di Padula, it lives as the whole village in a kind of oasis of peace and silence. Very good dishes based on fresh fish and local mozzarella, available a pool where you can relax quietly. Unique month not recommended is August because there are many weddings that you're forced to stay awake until to 2- 3 am. To visit the Certosa you need 3-4 hours, prenote first a guide to explain you the history of this nice Certosa. The price to visiti it is 4 euro for adult, free for children under 18 years. The guide cost is separated , 4 euro for person. Spend a day to visit the old part of the village and discover nice intimate angle.

Room tip: Much better the rooms on the side of Certosa

Being the only hotel in Padula, we did not know what to expect. We did expect limited understanding of English but got by with what we needed based on their only speaking Italian. Lack of elevators is offset by their willingness to brings bags up to our room. Rooms are clean, shower and other bath fixtures are modern. Security is excellent using combination of electronic card and key to enter room. Restaurant is excellent. Only inconvenience was that air conditioning was not very effective and they had above normal temperatures for September.

We spent two nights at this hotel in early August 2015. The property is very well maintained. The rooms are very new and well designed, with spacious balconies overlooking the Certosa. The restaurant is also very nice, with a beautiful garden, and the food is great and at reasonable prices. The negative side is that there have been two very loud weddings during the entire weekend in the hotel and in its garden and pool, which were not available to hotel guests. I used ear plugs to sleep at night. Breakfast could also be improved with fresh fruit, bread, cereal, butter, fresh fruit juices.

We stayed in this area mostly to visit the Certosa di San Lorenzo - so the location of this hotel is ideal. Their parking lot is directly across the street from the Certosa's entrance. The hotel itself is very modern, and the room was quite large and comfortable. Decor was modern and newish. The staff was efficient, if not particularly friendly. The breakfast was among the worst we had in Italy, which is why I knocked it down to a 3 rating. A few different sweet pastries, yogurt, and juice was about it. No meat, cheese, eggs, fresh fruit, or any of the other types of food we found nearly everywhere else in Italy. And it was served in a corner of a large, bare meeting/reception room. I would also recommend that you pass on the attached restaurant. It's also worth noting that there is no elevator, so you'll be carrying your luggage up either 1 or 2 flights of stairs depending on which floor you're on - and there was no one there who offered to help with our bags.
