Comfortable room within the modern section with good service.
Got a great price too on dinner bed & breakfast
Quiet location near open fields, but close enough to the areas sights & attractions

Stayed here for 4 nights as on a residential course held in the conference suite. Conference facilities are nice - good sized rooms, lots of natural light. Room was nice (room 27), bed huge, bathroom nice, shower really good. No aircon, so if it's really hot it might get uncomfortable. Some rooms overlook a flat roof, so you might not want to leave your window open. Free wifi a bonus. All staff really friendly. Breakfast not bad but nothing to rave about, dinner menu burger was good and steaks were excellent, but other menu items sampled by our group were a little disappointing. But plenty of other places nearby - we went into Warwick one night and had an excellent Thai meal. Overall, reasonably priced, nice hotel, was ideal for work purposes

I travel as a single person and was really pleased to see that I was allocated a double room (with supplement, which was fair). Very clean and comfortable and a really nice bathroom. I normally get an attic room/cupboard!
The food was reasonably good (considering the price) and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The downside was the price of the drinks in the bar. Excessive. Hence we visited the bar only once and some people went to the nearest pub. The hotel is somewhat isolated, which is fine if you have transport.

I stay at this hotel regularly throughout the year as it is close to the company's HQ.

Overall the hotel is pleasant. The main lobby area is quite small, but has never been overly busy when I have been there. Reception staff have always been attentive and I haven't had any problems checking in or out. They have free WiFi in the hotel but you must ask for an access code from reception to use it.

The rooms are a decent size, with nice large beds which are very comfy. The bathrooms are pretty standard for the type of hotel, but water pressue through the shower has varied at times from very powerful to barely a dribble! The bedroom and bathrooms are very clean and well maintained.

One thing to note is that the temperature in the room is something I can never seem to get right. The radiators are never on when you arrive at the hotel, but after having them cranked on for a while the room doesn't seem to cool down again.

The restaurant and bar areas aren't bad. Drinks are priced around £3 for a pint of lager. The food has been revamped recently as is much better than I remember. They do have a wide range of various dishes to choose from.

One let down is that the hotel always seems to be very quiet, so there is little or no atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. Fine if you want that, but I like a liitle bit of background noise going on.

Having had to complain on staying here in November 2008 due to extreme overnight noise from a private function ( of which we had not been made aware in advance) we were offered a free stay to compensate.

A repeat performance ensued with another sleepless night due to a disco until gone 1am which was clearly audible from rooms at the other end of the hotel and with guests contributing to the deafening thump of music by running around in the car park outside, shouting and generally causing a problem.

Hotel staff seem to feel they have no obligation to warn guests about the potential problems so beware - you may think you're in line for a peaceful night's sleep but prepared to be rudely awakened.
