“A week touring N. Ireland”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

We have just returned from a wonderful week staying in the garden lodge of John and Helen. We experienced a wonderful welcome at the end of our journey. The house is beautiful, spotlessly clean, bright and airy with wonderful aspects from all windows. We were welcomed with homemade scones and fresh milk to make a refreshing cup of tea.

The lodge is ideally placed for touring and visiting the sites around Ulster and into Belfast. However, the peace and calm that pervades the apartment would make you long to go no further but just to relax and enjoy!

Lovely people, lovely accommodation and lovely country!

It was our first stay in Ireland and we were heartly welcomed by Helen and John, who send us even a description on e-mail beforehand for how to find their so lovely house. Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer than one night, but ist was great. Greated by a tea and self made scones (delicious) and other sweets, we were treated like family. Helen and John gave us advice where to go for eating and where to find the sightseeing things. We slept in a wonderful and big room and had our own bathroom just opposit our room. I have never seen such a big and welcoming bathroom!! WOW!! And the next morning we had the best breakfast ever! And almost everything was self made! We will for sure come back again, it was really the greatest stay ever!

We stayed at the County Garden when attending the recent Irish Open. John and Helen provide an exceptional guest experience through spacious and well spec'd accommodation alongside their own personal touch. The breakfast was traditional Ulster Fry - and the generous helpings kept us going for the day!!

We would highly recommend this for couples.

Helen and John welcome you to their lovely home as if you were dear friends, with wonderful conversation, tea with extensive sweets, extremely comfortable and spotless accommodations, and a most delicious breakfast. They are in a semi-rural area, an easy drive from both the northern coast and Derry. Wi-fi, DVD player in your room with a broad range of films available, and on-site parking add to the ease of staying in this comfortable home with warm, gracious hosts.

We stayed in the studio flat for 2 nights. It was very well fitted with all modern appliances(dishwasher and washing machine/dryer included).
Helen and John were very welcoming and helpful. Their property is a beautiful rural location (although only £6 in taxi to Ballymoney) and is immaculately and carefully maintained-both inside and out.
Scones on arrival and hearty breakfast topped our stay off nicely.

Made to feel extremely welcome throughout our stay. The accommodation was excellent, very clean, spacious and comfortable with everything that was needed for an enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend the breakfast which was fantastic and one of the best we have tasted during our extensive travels. John and Helen were excellent hosts and would have no hesitation in recommending the Country House Garden to anyone and would definitely return again in the future.

This was such a lovely place to stay that I look forward to returning again when time allows and would have no hestiation in recommending Country Garden House. The location is peaceful yet close to good restaurants and wonderful scenery, walking and the coast. It was an ideal location for the purpose of our trip which was to see Giants causeway but we were able to see so much more.
Our hosts were kind, attentive to details, and served excellent breakfasts and welcome tray of goodies on arrival. The rooms were very comfortable and beyond expectations.
