My girlfriend and I stayed at Delamere for four nights and had a fantastic time, we were met by our very kind hosts whom gave us a drop of milk for a much needed coffee. Martyn gave us lots of ideas for things to do and where all the amenities were.
The rooms were very basic but had everything you would need and was very clean and tidy. The view out of the lounge window was incredible, beautiful open countryside. The sight of a hercules going over was brilliant.
Top marks from me! Will certainly be telling friends.

Just got back from a fantastic week at the Delamere bungalows in Delabole Cornwall.

By no means Luxurious, but they had everything you need for a great week of exploring this most beautiful part of Cornwall. Dry, secure, comfortable. If you are seeking Aga's and Smeg, this isn't the place for you, but if you are seeking a relaxing and practical base with one of the most beautiful and mesmeric views I have ever seen from a holiday spot then this has to be given very careful consideration.

The nearby beach at Trebarwith is one of the best I have ever been to, its literally 5 minutes in the car from door to beach and is wonderful, when the tide is out!! For all other times the Beach at Polzeath is excellent and the availability of wetsuits and boards for hire gave us something to do in the day.

Now, the best bit, the Food in the area, particularly the Seafood is absolutely superb, the famous Rick Stein presence in Padstow has to be on your itinary, as has the Moote in Port Issac, and the St Kew in St Kew did a fabulous Steak in wonderful country surroundings - the best bit was the value that the Bungalows offered over perhaps some other offerings in the area, afforded us the opportunity to splash out on the dining when perhaps we otherwise might not have done!

I heartily recommend the Delamere bungalows, the view, the value, the local beaches and the restaurants all make it a fabulous proposition and we will be re-booking for a fortnight next year - if the weather is good, who needs abroad?! Its better here.

We had a fantastic week here, the cottages are not overlooked, very peaceful and there are wonderful views.

When we arrived, we were given lots of suggestions for local places to visit which were all great days out and ones which we would have missed otherwise. St. Nectan’s Glen and Waterfall is definately one not to be missed, although it's a fair walk.

The cottages are clean, with spacious living rooms and well stocked kitchens and the welcome tea, coffee and milk were most welcome after a long drive.

All in all, a great place to stay, we will be returning this year and for many years to come.

Nice cottages with all essentials. Beautiful view from the front windows. Lovely welcome with tea/biscuits.

The kids (aged 8 and 10) had a fantastic time, running around on the terraced grass, feeding the horse grass, looking at the wild rabbits and playing with the other children.

We found there was lots to do with young children and a range of brochures with days out was provided in the cottage.

Unfortunately it was quite cold when we came so electric heaters were on which made the cottages have lots of condensation and felt really damp.

Despite this we had a lovely time and look forward to returning this Summer.

if you want seclusion, this is a great location.
travelling through the village of delabole and out the other side you reach a turning to an old farm lane.
down this lane you pass a barn, a cottage and then reach the bungalows.
chalet style, they are clean if a little old looking inside, electricity is metered so if visiting in cold weather as we did, you may spend a bit.
the view from the windows of the bungalow is lovely - you really feel you are miles from anywhere, panaromic views of open countryside are to be seen.
a small widescreen lcd tv with freeview is provided.
the nearby village has a shop and a nice pub with a real community feel. there's also the poldark inn if you fancy a walk down an unlit country lane - fun in october!
there's lots to explore a close drive away - for example port isaac where they film the doc martin tv series.
as a base for a week of exploring cornwall, this is well worth a look.
