We have stayed in the hotel for one night and it was an amazing experience.
From the moment you enter to this unique place, it just disconnecting you from the everyday troubles and you are in their lovely hands of WIlly and his wife which are taking care for any wish or need you have. The place offers rooms and mini-houses which are decorated with such a delightful interior design. You won't need or want to go out of this place, just disconnect yourself from any phone/internet connection lean back and enjoy!
The hotel has also wonderful food to offer and we also visited couple of times the place for breakfast and dinner - Wow, not even once we were disappointed.
To make a long story short - a unick boutique hotel for couples, even families which wants quiet and peaceful atmosphere. (good for Family gathering, small weddings etc.)

Room Tip: The hotel has several rooms and mini houses to offer - need to check which one of them will match th...

We had a meal here exactly a year ago to the day we came back, and stayed for 2 nights as a result. Our meal the first time round was a fantastic traditional Cypriot meze, and the food this time was just as good, if not better. We were the only guests here the first night, but were joined by another couple the second night. It seemed strange to us that such a place is not better patronised, but that was our gain as the solitude was so relaxing, and it was the end of the summer season as well, I suppose.

Willy and his wife Ei Ei, both from Burma, were the only staff there, apart from a Cypriot lady who cooked for us the first night. Consequently, they both multi-tasked, cooking, serving, reception, house-keeping etc., but really magnificently and professionally. The place was kept in a pristine condition with the utmost cleanliness. Service was first class, and I repeat, the food was tremendous. We used the pool a couple of times, and although a trifle cold (it was 34 degC in the shade, so it felt like it!) it was so enjoyable, possibly enhanced by the fact that we were the only guests there at the time! We didn’t use the other facilities – the sauna etc., but I am sure they would have been just as enjoyable.

So – would we go back? Without any doubt whatsoever. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants traditional Cypriot hospitality and fare, combined with exceptional cleanliness, comfort and peacefulness. Thank you again Willy and Ei Ei f or making our stay so special.

Room Tip: We staed in the Lavender suite - excellent, but they all are, some more expensive than others.

We have used the restaurant many times and stay on one occasion.
The food & service are excellent they give the personal touch to the experience.
The build specification of the entire property is very good, producing a relaxing atmosphere. There is a log fire which is used in the winter.
New signs from the centre of Lofou which make first time visit easier. Worth booking a table to avoid disappointment.

We stayed here 4 days. Beautifully refurbished stone villas, excellent equipment, different sizes and individually furnished. We stayed one night in gate house, 3 nights at almond house. Gate house is nice, but small and little dark. Almond house is fantastic, big room, nice bathroom, great terrace with view to the small pool. Fireplace. Just fantastic. Magic atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, the dinner 10 course menu was amazing. Good price though. 25 eur per person. Breakfast rather small, but high quality local products. Intimate romantic hideaway. The village is nicely reconstructed, but empty and therefore sad. The area is nice, but not so special. It is 30 min. to the beach. Do recommend the zias beach club. We will return.

We stayed here for a night with our 9 month old baby and they couldn't be more accommodating! They arranged a baby bath tub in our room, cot and highchair too. Willy and Yiyi were very friendly too and even cooked me a special Burmese dish when I mentioned how I loved Burmese food. The breakfast was fabulous and you could also order cooked eggs, bacon etc in addition to the sumptuous platter of cheeses, fruit salad, yoghurt, etc. Food at their restaurant was also good.

There was a helpful walking route map in the room too and we were able to look around the quaint and picturesque village before heading off. Whilst it was a bit cold for us to swim, their pool and patio were very inviting and everything was tastefully decorated.

We stayed at 4 hotels in Cyprus and Apokryfo was def the best one! It's definitely one of my favourite b&b s
- More of a boutique hotel to be honest!!

We probably won't return to Cyprus as a whole though (nice enough buy we've seen much nicer islands/destinations) and if we do, we would probably just go to northern Cyprus but shall miss Apokryfo and their staff.

If you do go to Cyprus, go to the Troodos mountains and to Lofou after visiting the Kykkos monastry. Much more worth it than Larnaca or Paphos!
