Just back from a short break in Curracloe. The place was lovely well kept, staff really helpful. In walking distance of Curracloe beach which is the nicest beach I have been on in Ireland. Highly recommend for as relaxing break.

I totally agree with Maria1514's review. The house we stayed in was tatty, the couch and chairs were disgusting (Seamus did change them when we complained). The oven door would not close, the one shower drain took ages to empty and the en-suite bathroom was manky. The TV and dvd player were old. The beds were not very comfortable and there was a musty smell to the bed linen. The outside table and chairs were dirty with holes in them. The whole place was not very clean, cigarette butts around the outside of the house. No black bags, cleaning materials or dishwasher tablets were provided. The location is lovely, very near the beach. The restaurant is OK but the area just outside the restaurant where the bins and recycling area are is a mess, with rubbish and bottles strewn around. If the weather had been bad then we would have left, it would be really depressing to have to spend much time in the house. I would stay in the area again but not in this place unless I heard it had been completely revamped!

Room Tip: We were in no. 18, don't know if the others are any better...

We're just back from our holiday in Curracloe, staying at Curracloe Hoiday Villas, and we'd a great time there, The weather was good to us and we spent a couple of days on the excellent beach which was just a 5 minute walk away .... The location of the houses is lovely and the grounds are well kept, there is a beautiful restaurant Da Paolo on site and the food is lovely and they are very accommodating for the children, the staff were excellent and couldn't do enough on our night there, the food was pretty good too. You can then sit outside and have a drink and across the way there is a small playground, suitable for younger kids only, they've also a tennis court. Couple of disappointments though, the so called pitch and putt course is in an awful state, hard to know where the greens are, it's 9 holes apparently, but we only found 7 ...... The houses or so called Villas were clean but could really do with a makeover - the shower curtain in our house looked like it hadn't been changed for years and the bahroom/shower room should be gutted .... overall a good makeover is required for a bit of comfort - while there was a tv there - no dvd player which would be handy considering our Irish weather for the kids. Our two bed hadn't got a huge amount of space for kids to move around and the second bedroom, which was small enough had four beds in it, set of bunks and two single beds, so kids room was cramped enough ... Overall we'd a really good time there, but if you are looking for luxury accommodation you wont find it here.

We spent a week here in July with a toddler and a 7 year old. The weather was fantastic but so too was the location. The house, though old, was clean, comfortable and spacious. The children both had loads of space both inside and out. The house has everything you need for a self catering family break. A few signs/notices or a welcome pack explaining the rubbish collecting and ESB would be helpful for the future. Yes, the playground could do with some TLC but that can surely be done before we arrive back next summer! The restaurant on site was an added bonus and so convenient. All the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to our return.

We're just back from a great mid week break in the Curracloe Holiday Villas. The house was clean, comfortable and very spacious with all the facilities and amenities necessary for a self catering break. We were very lucky with the weather but had it been bad, the kids would have had plenty of room to play indoors. As it was, they had a pyjamas morning where they baked and watched movies just for a change. The kids also loved the freedom of being able to play in the playground and tennis courts without us adults looking over their shoulders, while we as adults felt they were safe doing so. Seamus and his staff seemed to be on site all the time and were contactable had we needed them. The lovely beach is a five minute walk away - a major plus not having to pack up the car every time we wanted to go to it and then clean out the sand when we got back. There's a restaurant on site which we didn't use but which I've heard great reviews about and apparently a tuck shop which opens in the summer season - the kids will love that when we go back again. Our idea behind the break was for the kids to play and have fun instead of always funding camps, cinema, bowling, day trips, shopping trips etc. If we'd wanted amusements, arcades and shops we could have gone to Courtown, Gorey, Rosslare, Wexford, though these were still great options had the weather changed for the worse. All in all it was a great break in a very safe five star location. Most of the other holiday homes I'd googled before going to Curracloe did not give the same overall value for money. We'll certainly be going back (sooner rather than later)

We stayed at Curracloe Holiday Villas last Easter and now eagerly awaiting going again next week. Loads of things for the kids - really close to beach and lovely swimming pool in Wexford. Houses in the complex are spacious, clean, open fire and very quiet. Loved it and would highly recommend it for families
