Divine food in the most beautiful idyllic setting of Multyfarnham village. Great variety menu catering for special dietary requirements. Wonderful quaint restaurant with helpful, friendly staff. As regular visitors we have never been disappointed. If it's good enough for Cillian Murphy, Johnny Depp and co.... :) The chicken wings are a MUST!

“Great Local Pub”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

Our family met at Weirs bar enroute to Mornington House for an overnight break. We only stopped for one or two in Weirs and would highly recommend this bar for it's fun and hospitable atmosphere. The locals made us feel very welcome and went to much trouble to ensure we didn't get lost. Staff are very friendly and they have a great selection of Craft Beers

“A gem. Would highly recommend.”

I had heard of Weir's by word of mouth.
It is only15 minutes from Mullingar, off the N4, and really well worth the detour.

Walk through the bar, but don't stop, keep walking and you will be rewarded with a lovely warm welcome. Cora and Laura looked after us on our visit.

We were seated, given menus and served our drinks within minutes.

The food was fresh and homemade and, more importantly, tasted great.

The adult main courses we had were the beef burger and battered cod. One child had chicken wings from the starter menu and the other had spaghetti bol from childrens menu. Have to admit I would go back for the chips alone. To finish, we shared homemade banoffi pie and bread and butter pudding. Yum.

True test was empty plates, full tums and plans to go back.

“Fabulous”
Reviewed July 21, 2014

My Partner and I had arranged to stay locally at a beautiful Country House in nearby Rathowen that certainly lived up to our expectations. Having traveled up from Athlone and with a thunder strom looming we arrived just as the skies opened up! Our hosts were great and very friendly and under their advice they booked a table for us at Weirs for 8.00 o'clock which was great as we were ravenous. The atmosphere in the bar when we arrived was very nice and although the ceilings were quite high (and interesting) there was a homeliness about the place. The waitresses were very friendly and pleasant and we didn't wait long to be served. The food was fantastic, my Partner had the duck while I remained predictable and ordered the steak, absolutely fabulous! I espied Una taking orders and assisting with their delivery, and later chatted with her quite openly. Pat also chatted with us without any pomp. A lovely situated premises and a fabulous meal. All in all We would highly recommend Weir's for good food and congeniality!
