After reading all the positive reviews I was looking forward to staying at the City North. At check in I was told that we had not booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children but a room for 3 adults, I queried this but the receptionist proceeding anyway to register and it was only when I brought to her attention that the registation form was for another person, did she take notice.
Mistakes happen and I didnt have a problem what I do have a problem with is that she never once said sorry. As it turned out we were given a room with a double bed and a single bed so it looked like we were given a room for the 3 adults but by this stage we were all too tired to say anymore about it. The room was comfortable and clean. No problems there.
Breakfast was fine plenty of choice however it was the customer service that let City North down
the head waitress greeting us what is your room number (a good morning would have been nice) and when checking out the guy simply took our key and didnt ask if our stay was ok.
I left the City North hotel with the impression that this was another of those motorway hotels without any soul and is badly in need of improved customer service.More
