Lunch here today was excellent. Real hearty food of Corned beef served with parsley sauce, potatoes and vegetables. Great value I will definitely be back.

4 of us arrived for dinner today 16/06/2013 2 adults and 2 children when we arrived there wasn't a lot of customers there so we thought we would be served very promptly but unfortunately that was not the case we where waiting a good 20 minutes after which my partner went in search of some one to serve us, once our orders where taken our starters came out fairly quick which was good except for the fact that it wasn't very hot needless to say at that stage we where so hungry we ate it regardless, then we where left to sit for at least another 30 minutes before once again my partner had to go in search of someone to ask about our main course which after threatening to leave was served to us but begrudgingly and wasnt very nice and infact seemed like it had been heated up in a microwave, staff never smiled or said a polite word which was very rude as far as I'm concerned, that in fact was our second visit and needless to say we won't be making a third one.

Staff are pleasant, Courteous and efficient. Pints are good, Creature comforts are ok too. Nice smoking area out back.

Over the last few visits here we have noticed how difficult it is to get served by staff.
Two weeks ago was the worst, we left after 20 mins of trying to get someones attention.
A family of 5 lost to another premises for dinner, in these times that is not good business practice.
On the way out, staff even then avoided us. They were about 20% full at the most.
Food is generally average with good portions. The toilets are dirty and old. The entrance doorways always have someone standing in the way smoking. We will try again only because the choice locally has deminished over the last while.

The staff were poor, which really reflects on the establishment. BArely a smile or an acknowledgement when we entered and more or less begrudgingly served us. The place itself is run-down and just old. Not "old" like it's got character, "old" like someone could do with painting the place.
Toilets were quite messy.
