My wife and I enjoyed 4 days at this remarkably immaculate and eloquent resort. We had a room overlooking the infinity pool and the view was great. We enjoyed pampered dinners followed by evening swims in the pool. At times we were the only ones in attendance in the dining room, bar or pool, but there was always someone there to attend to our needs. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the attention. On one day we arranged for a country side tour. We had our own car, driver and tour guide. It was a very enjoyable day with visits to the chocolate hills complex, butterfly garden, tarsier sanctuary and a luncheon cruise on the Lobac river. If you are going to Bohol this is the perfect place to stay

It was our first time in Bohol and choosing to stay at The Peacock Garden was definitely a good last minute decision for us... I was a little worried after booking this resort since a friend reminded me that i have booked a resort which does not have a beachfront... turned out that it did not really matter we were a little far from the beach.

As we arrived at the resort, we were greeted with the early morning fresh scent of the greens around . it was lovely and relaxing.. we knew by then that we will be satisfied with our stay...when we came to the infinity pool area, the view of the Panglao Island was breathtaking .

The staffs were nice, courteous and helpful... we also availed of the tour packages offered by the hotel and they were able to arrange it smoothly, even the check-in and out were smooth....

The check-in time was supposed to be around 2pm, but since we took a cheaper flight sched we arrived very early at the hotel at round 8 in the morning.. we appreciate that they were able to provide us a temporary room to stay at , where we had a relaxing nap before we started our Bohol adventure.

It was just a little sad that we weren't able to experience the SPA as it was closed when we were about to schedule for an appointment and since i was feverish after a few hours we decided not to do the SPA anymore... so hopefully next time..

as for their food.. Old Heidelberg resto did offer good food and we had a nice experience.. it's just that we were expecting more Filipino dishes as the resort is in Bohol anyway.... also we have wished for other restos nearby as the location was quite a bit far from other establishments as compared to the treats of restos at the Panglao island where restaurants are literally everywhere and anywhere...

Overall we have achieved a relaxing and romantic vacation soooo the Peacock garden is definitely a place to be considered when going to Bohol...

My husband and I went for three days to Bohol. The plan was to visit Chocolate Hills and the tarsiers, and get some rest at this resort. We had a great time, the food was delicious, the ambiance was calm and relaxed, and our only regret was that they didn't have local dishes in the menu. The staff was always willing to help, the rooms are big and comfortable, with balcony and a great view.

We got a massage at the Spa (recommended!) and appointed a tour to watch the fireflies (a must see!).

All in all, it was a great experience and we would recommend it to everyone.

Compared to other luxury resorts in the philippines, the peacock garden is definitely good value for money. The food is hearty german style and very good (which is normally not the case in Asia). The rooms are equipped with a satellite-TV with almost 100 channels and a high-speed WiFi-connection. The infinity pool is huge and located on the edge of the hill. Staff is friendly and the complimentary breakfast is fine. Only negative thing is that the hotel is located far away from the main road and you have to book a driver for every kind of activity outside of the resort.

7 Simply put, this hotel gives you a great experience in all areas. Service is impeccable, and extremely attentive from big to small details. The restaurant is excellent, all the food is western German style, and made fresh, with a few items found natively. Breakfast buffet is fresh, will hot breakfast's made to order. Infinity pool of course is a main attraction, as is their world class spa. (also featured in several magazines, that can be viewed.)

Also, since you are on vacation, book your tours through the hotel, it WILL save you time and hassles, and you will not have to wait in lines at the sites you are traveling to. I would recommend requesting Agnes Ytac as a tour guide for English speakers, as she spoke flawless English and was very knowledgeable, and Carlito Escuadro as your driver, as he also speaks English, and is a VERY safe driver.(they drive crazy here, and i didn't want to deal with any accidents, and let him know safety was more important).

Overall, this place simply provided a world class experiance, and i highly recommend it over any other hotel located in Bohol.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 308, furthest away from pool and all functions. So quiet, and wonderful view of ocean...

We had an outstanding stay at the Peacock Garden. Several friends recommended it to us and they were absolutely right - it's a relaxing hotel and a true stand-out in Bohol. I ordered a birthday cake and requested all of our sightseeing tours in advance. When we arrived at the hotel they had everything exactly right and re-confirmed it with us upon check-in. The breakfast buffet was better than we expected and had many good options. The German restaurant seemed authentic and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The manager is also German and greeted us at every dinner. You could tell that he really cares and puts his personal touch into the resort.

I had an outstanding massage and facial at the spa -- definitely recommended. The bathroom in our room was marble and impeccably clean. One would only hesitate about staying here if you have to be on the beach or if you are out to save money. (I wouldn't come here on a tight budget, because it's a place to be pampered and to splurge...) The infinity pool was gorgeous and really set the mood. My only criticism of the pool is that the jacuzzi could have been hotter... Overall, an outstanding, relaxing stay!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: We booked our tours with the hotel. It was seamless and hassle free and we always had our own personal driver. We saw the chocolate hills, a butterfly sanctuary, the Bohol Bea Farm, and the tarsiers.

We tried the dolphin tour, but did not see any dolphins. The boat guide/spotters told us that the sea was probably too rough for them that day and there weren't enough fish around for them to come out and eat near Pamilacan Island. But the island was pleasant and the guides were very kind. It's probably smart to take some Dramamine if you do the dolphin watching tour.

We're currently staying at Peacock Gardens and can't believe how lucky we are to have found it. When we arrived at Tagbilaran on a late ferry (owing to no availability on earlier ones), we were confronted with no taxis to get us to the hotel. One quick call to PG and someone was on their way. We were greeted with a welcome drink and taken to our room, which was amazing - huge bed, duvet and pillows that you just sink in to! Lots of l'occitane toiletries in the bathroom and great shower. The highlight of the hotel is by far the infinity pool, which is not only super clean but also the view is fab - it really does feel like the pool meets the sea. There is also a spa, which offers lots of luxurious options. The staff are lovely and really friendly - happy to help with any queries like sorting out our ferry tickets or arranging tours around the island. The food was okay, though it would have been nice to try more Filipino options. We're currently on our honeymoon and we wish we'd come here first instead of the hotel Trailfinders offered us in Cebu. We were only booked in for 2 nights but in the end stayed for 5! Oh, and we're getting a free transfer to our next hotel in panglao!
