The Atharva Inn
Ranked #2 of 3 Malgund B&B and Inns
Reviewed May 26, 2009

Stayed at Atharav Residency from 19th to 21st May 2009. The place looks very beautiful & thats it. Its actually a bit far for people who don't have their own vehicle from The Temple & beach area. Also a lot...lot...needs to be done to improve the services. In fact there was no services at all......there needs to be re-look in facilities provided by the management at the place.....No basic facilities like drinking water, Towels, soaps, adequate pillows & overhauls (chaddars) were provided. So compare to the tariff charged the facilities are negligible. If given a choice would like to stay at ganpatipule itself since all the good hotels & eating places are existing only there.... The caretaker was OK, but if the facilities are improved upon can be recommended to stay... Overall its my Thumbs down for the place. Rgds; Shailu

It was very difficult to find even though it was exactly where we were told. They were very patient on the phone guiding us in. It is obviously new and still being worked on. It is a series of small "houses" they are very cute and painted in nice shades of lilac and white on the outside. Inside they have everything that you need, but looks as though it was chosen by a man. Curtains, bedlinen, towels etc are all different patterns. We had what they had described as one double room and a hall with bathroom. This was the ground floor of one of the little houses. We had two rooms one an ensuite with only cold water the other being "the hall" had the TV and kettle in it with a bed settee which pulled out to a double. There was a second bathroom with hot water plus a dressing room. The house had an upstairs with another ensuite room and two balconies . The upstairs could be locked seperately if another guest was staying. Since there was only us and one family in another house we had the use of the upstairs too.
We were made very welcome and I think maybe we were the first european visitors we would love to go back to see how the place develops.
