My room was a little bit dark with old fashioned furniture. However it was clean.
I also had no problems with the staff. They were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was nothing special but offers more than cafe au lait, croissants and jam. The hotel is at walking distance from the RER station and the University of Paris Sud. They have special rates for people visiting the University.

Only choice within walking distance of the university. Cleaniness was better than expected from the other reviews, however the room and bathroom both were not really clean. Also the room was a bit worn. The staff at the front desk was quite indifferent most of the time. Orsay is a nice small quiet town but it is a bit of a walk there. There are not too many restaurants, I would also recommend Le Gramophone.

Not as bad as expected from previous reviews. Not luxurious, but adequate. No complaints on cleaniness and the staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Quiet hotel, free wifi and walking distance to the University. Looks like some decorating has been done recently. Only downside there was no bar or restaurant and is its a longish walk into the town - but worth it for Le Gramophone.

Orsay is a nice town, but this hotel is not a good place to stay. The room was not clean at all. The batroom was dirty, the room very dusty and there were bloodstains on the matrass.
On top of itt all the staff was not friendly and prefered playing games on the computer then help us. Not a nice beginning of our holliday!

Stayed here on a business trip. The room was very basic and not very clean. The bathroom in particular needed a lot of attention

If you are attending a conference at U of Paris Sud, this may be your only choice. If you can possibly afford it, get the room with the kitchenette as the others are very small with no amenities to speak of. Bring your own hairdryer and additional soap and shampoo as you may not get any replacements. There are no a/c or fans so rooms on the west side can get very warm and don't cool off well at night in the summer. Our room had no phone at although the rooms of our friends did. The matress was terribly soft and there was no room to try putting it on the floor. Although there were additional blankets and pillows in the cabinet, they were of a quality I would not have used for my dog.

WiFi is pay through the Orange network. We didn't use it but one of the hotel staff explained that this system was overloaded by "foreigners" and subject to being slow. Hotel staff range from surly (the woman in charge of setting the breakfast places) to sullen (the young Portuguese man more interested in the World Cup than helping anyone) to delightful. The tv in the lounge is for the staff, not the guests.

Breakfast was decent for the price and saved you the walk down the hill to the small shops.

Whle we had no problem checking in, friends were told at 8 in the evening that they had no reservation. After an unhelpful hour, their room suddenly was available.

upon arrival at 7PM with a 3 month child and an exam the next morning for my wife, the clerk told us that we have no reservation... She offered us 2 room(so-called "refurbished", with no bath): one was already occupied...in the other one, a bulb was burnt and no bag in the dust bin...
I met the manager the next day: our original room was kept by the previous customer for the month to come. They were not able to contact us, because our reservation fax was sent to archive... And the field for the telephone number in the reservation software is not filled by the hotel... So no point in giving them telephone !!!! But all this seems to be normal to the manager ....
I let you make your own mind.
